What did the IC mods say when you contacted them?

I got a reply from Warner not IC mods saying they would refund the extra money they took off my card by the bank charges were my fault, no their Warners fault they never would have happened if they hadn't taken the extra money off. Not to mention all of that without a fucking sorry.

a - the fanclub is not run by warner.

b - did you try contacting the idiot club directly or contacting one of the mod team to help you?

c - if you are not getting answers, is this possibly down to your email client classing the return addy as being spam? I ask that because of the multiple problems I have had brought to my notice with pre-sales codes.

d- yeah.... the whole set up could be way better. I`m not going to argue that.

Its run by ArtistsArena LLC on behalf of Warner Records, AAA are the company Warner employed to run it, therefore Warner hold all the big strings.

as for warner being involved. okay, they are the bands record label. but to say that the band have no control over the site is incorrect. as far as I am aware any way. if they hadnt, I wouldnt be involved. and I have questioned my own involvement often enough.

Right now I'm tired of battling with IC I don't give a shit anymore, I just want it out there how badly they treat the fans. I'm sick of us being made a joke to line someone elses pockets, I never said the band have no control over it, I said they must have no idea what the fuck is going on or it wouldn't be going on. Unless Green DAy turn out to be absoloute arseholes that don't give a shit about their fans that is, if it was known how many people are upset and have been ripped off by IC then I'm sure the three of them would have someones head for it. I am simply making the sititation clear to everyone.

I am not targeting one person singularly I am pointing out the entire flawed system. Why the hell should we stand for it? I certainly am not going to roll over and be treated like shit by the fanclub for a band that preaches standing up and speeking for youself.

plus, I feel I have to add that although the site isnt what it should be.... there are a lot of happy fans out there who have got tickets through the IC and arent so angry as you are. I`m not saying you shouldn`t be but well... I`ve got involved in these "discussions" maybe once too often. I just feel I have to stop it all being one sided on here which is how it usually turns out.

The money they wrongly took from me has been refunded its the £80 of bank charges their fuck up cost me the we were fighting over, I've now given up. I'm more concerned about the treatment of fans at this moment in time. If no one else has the guts to stand up and say it I will, the company running IC treats fans like complete and utter crap and something has got to change.

Yes there my be a lot of happy fans but there are a lot of unhappy ones as well. They are running a buisness and they have unhappy customers, its a problem.

It's strange how the people that run the IC whoever they are Artists Arena or the band or Warner just don't seem to give a shit. So many promises were made when the old club was folded and this one started up. The mods get some right shit to deal with but they work damned hard to help everyone over there. It's a pity that the people running the place can't seem to be arsed to answer members emails. I've never had one email replied to by the IC. I've been in the fan club over 3 years now.

Something is wrong, they either want it or they don't they shouldn't just let it sit there and rot.

I don't know if you'll ever manage to get the overcharges paid back to you, that's more of a consumer issue. Sure it's their fault, but it happens with businesses and they won't refund you without you going to town on them.

I don't think it's fair the mods get all the rubbish with this but from the sounds of it the fan club do need to sort themselves out. No one would join if it wasn't for presales, but presales don't work well very often. They need to sort it out.

Im not part of the IC ... but I can see you guys have put up with a lot of shit ... too bad the people who run the club, only care about money, and not the main reson the club was created for, the fans ... Im sure a lot of people will leave the club after this, its not fair! .. and this is not the fisrt complaint Ive seen or heard! ... they are all over the web ..

Yeah exactly. If they had more going for them than just presales it wouldn't bother me so much, but presales really are the only thing they're offering that's worth joining for (just about worth it anyway). So they really should be doing a better job with them.

Yeah, I agree it is crappy, but I think the mods in general are good. I'm not a member so I have no idea how it works over there.

The thing with the IC is, the only thing it really offers is presales, and it's a given that most people join for them. So they have an overload, and not everyone is going to get what they want because of it. They only have so many tickets available in the presale, i'm sure, so there are going to be some people who miss out. I think the whole thing is just not working out right for anyone, and presales should be done the old way.

I personally haven't had any problems with the IC, but I've heard some stuff. I've only joined for the presales and the occasional other nice thing you might get, but I've noticed that I just don't live in the right place to get any extras. There wasn't even a band photographer contest thing for either of the concerts I went to last year (while there was for like, 80-90% of all the concerts in the European leg), no IC presales or anything. So far the only good thing that has come from those $20 is that I got my tickets for Paris in the presales, which of course is nice, but it's in a whole different country and I highly doubt many people from the Netherlands would go to a concert in France.

Now I know that nothing of that is a particular actual bad thing about the IC, but it's kind of irky that the membership really only has point when you live in a certain part of the world.

Oh yeah I know presales aren't guaranteed. What I mean is it must be disappointing when people, especially kids, think "I love Green Day, I'm gonna join their fanclub!" and then realize they're not really getting anything in return for joining. I know they're not actually being misleading in what they say you'll get for joining, but it still must be disappointing to realize it was basically a waste of money.

I'm really glad they've added that "(where applicable)" part, it didn't used to say that . That's one big improvement at least.

I can't decide whether to renew my membership next month, I really don't wanna miss out if they do some kind of early entry / getting in the golden circle competition or something for Wembley, but I have no idea if there's any chance of that or not. Hmm.

That is one of the main reasons I have a problem with the IC. It really sucks to be the person who just gets a forum out of it...more or less anyway...for whatever the amount is to join, i can't remember.

Not like, to rain on your parade or anything, but you might want to like spell / grammar check that if you're actually going to send it to them. Also I doubt they'll actually read it, you might have more like sending it to Warner, but again they're a huge company and Green Day, let alone the Idiot Club, is one tiny part of a massive empire.

Don't get me wrong, I agree that what they've done is bad - I never joined the IC cause it seemed pretty shit to me and a total waste of money - just don't expect Warner to give a damn.
