I was 12. Friday, 31st March 2006. I bought it with my dad, maybe at 9.00 pm. I remember how happy I turned when I had that cd in my hands. Even I remember in my nose the first smell of the lyrics book, which still persists today

I remember I always had a photograph of Billie Joe in my trousers' pocket, so that day I did. (yes... the terrible Hormonated Age )

Technically, I picked up BIAB first. But that and American Idiot were bought at the same time in early 2006.

I remember putting AI in the CD player in my mum's car on the way back and skipping to the first song I hadn't already heard, Are We The Waiting. That song is sorta special to me for that reason.

international superhits... i had asked my aunt to send it to me from the usa... i still remember the moment i got back from school and saw my mum reading the lyrics from the booklet shocked! these guys are maniacs, junkies she shouted! now she has overcome the shock... when she read the lyrics of are we the waiting, she felt sorry for everything she had said before... she found it a masterpiece!

I remember when i was around 11 I was down in Weston (British seaside) and i came across a second hand copy of Dookie and i had barely heard of Green Day but damn i wanted it cus it looked super cool but my mum and dad said no. But later around 2006 - early 07 i got American Idiot for christmas Right after that i got Dookie
