I like the way they have filmed it and the perspective is great... billie could have had a better hair style in my opinion. but I found a g reat diffrenc in this video than the others... mike is so active in this... like the AI video but totally the best green day video must be for the best green day song which to me is the BOBD and has the greatest green day video

Punk Rock Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I have watched the new music video and think it is very good.. i wouldn't say that it's better than their other video's but it's definatly still good. Espicially the fact that they have that woman from 21 guns in it, it is sort of carrying on the story with her still in it. The other blonde girls are good too Where the music video was shot i don't know so if anyone can tell me that would be good, or i'll just look it up. All together though a good music video. Bearing in mind they haven't made a bad one yet.

The dancers don't annoy me anymore either, after watching it a couple times it's clear they're, well, I can't seem to be able to explain it in English, but they have the exact effect on me they're supposed to have, and it's not in a to me annoying way. I swear, I'm seeing a connection between one of the early shots in the video with the dancers where they're helping to drag a rather hung-over or shagged-out looking Gloria out of bed, and the lyric in The Static Age: "Billboard on the rise in the dawn's landscape/working your insanity." Those annoying tarts are right there from the moment Gloria wakes up -- just like the ads we get bombarded with as soon as the clock radio goes off on our bedstands. Am I nuts, or is there really some deliberate connection to another 21CB song being made here? I'll take what's behind door #1!

I definitely see the connection in there, but I think it works the other way round - the album links so well together that something like that in this video also connects to another song in the album. It would be way ingenious if Marc did that on purpose. I like your description of the dancers by the way, 'annoying tarts'

They're all just quite pretty, a little story or meaning or just performance. People are being too harsh on this video. It's really not 'bad' at all.
