I didn't buy any this time around because of timing and location, but I did get on and poke around at 10am yesterday to see what I could have gotten in Detroit. The seating chart there indicated that there is no pit at the front of the stage. The only GA area is at the back of all the seats, in an uncovered area. So, when you went for "best available" tickets, the ones that came up were seats. And not very good ones, at that...Row JJ on the left side? Hmmmm. It seems weird that there wouldn't be even a smaller GA pit area up front, I know some of the ampitheaters that went on sale yesterday have that . The tickets were about $85 for that area, right? I guess it remains to be seen if the very front seated area at Detroit ends up being GA/pit once tickets go on sale to the general public. I don't think those seats even came up as available in the presale yesterday morning.

I'm laughing my ass off!!! 8 months preggers?!?! You'd better not go into the pit unless you have body guards!!! I was in the pit this past summer in Philly with my 12 year old daughter....right up against the rail, and even that was scarey! (My sister and I decided we'd just throw her over to security over the railing if things got out of control!! It's so cool that you're still going! I went to Lollapalooza pregnant and my baby was doing somersaults in my belly!! Turns out, now 12, she's "punk" (with a heart of gold) all the way!! I guess she was just head-banging and moshing in there!!! lol Enjoy yourself and stay safe!!

I am SERIOUSLY enjoying this topic of conversation!!! Ya know......they actually have a Green Day cd that plays their music......just instrumentally (in a "lullaby"-type manner)!!! You may want to get that for your new bundle of joy!! It's funny because I was kinda losing it when my daughter was born.....you can only listen to so many KidzBop cds and new age music!!!! When she was 5 and my son was 1, I was going bezerk....so I popped in GD! Since I know the words like the back of my hand, I'd just mute it when there was a lot of cursing (it was muted alot--lol)! Caitlin LOVED Green Day!! A year later, I realized this kid took after me and was a fan!! I showed her a picture of them and she looked at BJA and looked up at me and asked if he was a boy (I think the eyeliner threw her off--I wear a lot of eyeliner) and I said "yes"! She said "I LIKE HIM!!!" Now she's 12 and honestly, I can't believe how much she loves them---knows all the songs--has all the posters,,etc. About a year and a half ago, I think my son got the attitude "if you can't beat them, join them"---after listening to them every second in the car..........and now he's a die-hard 8 year old fan!! How old is your son now?? Does he still seem drawn to Green Day?

My 9 year old wears my Green Day shirts, her fav is Tre, she thinks he's so funny. MY 7 year old daughter came home from school with something she signed out of the library, yep, it was a mag with Billie Joe on the front. Everyone loves Green Day in this house, my now husband was so jealous when I got to go to the last one and he didn't. He's over the moon that he get's to come to this one (FYI we were just friends when the last one rolled around last year). Oh yeah I've seen the lullaby version before, it has a bear on the front designed like the heart grenade. I have looked into purchasing it before.

I'm seeing responses saying that they suck and it's a waste of $20/year. That couldn't be further from the truth! Last year, for my $20, I won a contest to "jump the line" the day 21st CB was released and my daughter and I got to meet GD and have out cd's signed......BILLIE JOE GOT UP FROM HIS CHAIR AND HUGGED MY DAUGHTER!!!!! Then we got pit tix for the Philly sale, thanks to presales.........my daughter and I got to the arena at 9 am and sat in the rain all day......about an hour and a half before the show, a woman comes out and picks about a dozen people out of the front of the line (me and my daughter included) and we were escorted to a suite, went to soundcheck-----after souncheck, TRE GAVE HIS DRUMSTICKS TO MY DAUGHTER and we were allowed into the pit (right up against the rail) before the crowd rushed in!!! The Idiot Club is NOT bullshit--these are two events that never would have happened if not for IC!! Yes, I'm crushed about the location of the tix--it seriously sucks, and I'm happy for everyone who got great seats and/or pit tix........but please don't say IC sucks---I believe Ticketmaster sucks, but not IC in any way, shape or form. Yeah I totally agree with you on Ticket Master being retarded last year we didn’t get pit liked I wanted to because it said the #’s on my moms cards were wrong even though it was clearly stated it was a bunch of BS because 2 days later she bought shirts from Hot Topic online and it worked. It was being dumb when we bought Paramore tickets too but luckily that one was not seated. Ohh yeah do you guys have to buy them online for pre-sale or can I go to ticket master at Fry’s I’m not sure if the card will work and I would be pissed If I sign up for IC and they send me a code but the card don’t work. Is GA and Pit the same thing? I know it’s a stupid question but I’ve only been to Green Day concerts that were seated. All the other concerts I’ve been to were not seated and we would pay General Admission and could sit anywhere we wanted or be in the pit.

I guess it is just down to what the venue makes available. There are several venues that don't have a front pit/GA section at all this time around and even the very front seated area was not available for the IC presale (either that, or those seats were so limited they were gone in the first seconds of the presale). In any case, I wouldn't recommend just joining for the presales. You may be disappointed if what you could have gotten in the regular sale was as good or better than through the IC.

I got a GA PIT ticket to denver, my friend lori got 2 and another friend got 4. all thru the IC presales. so quitchyerbitchen people. it works if you work it.
