lovelyrita Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 It's very nice of him, but he'd better sing his songs. His voice is erkhm... quite shitty XD.
PanicAttack! Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 Overall, his voice is terrible, and autotuned! (that's just something that's hard for me to accept) But i gotta admit that i really liked the 3 seconds between 3:17 - 3:20, and then what he says from 4:04 was cool, but kinda hilarious...
Boston Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I think that his rendition of the song is really good. I like the auto-tuning, it gives the song a fresh twist.
Hermione Posted March 27, 2010 Posted March 27, 2010 I dunno why anyone was expecting him to rap it. Iyaz is an RnB singer who only occasionally raps. His only huge hit, Replay, has NO rapping in it, only singing. Also there is NO autotune in Iyaz's version..........but there IS autotune in Green Day's version. And his falsetto is no worse than Billie Joe's Is it really as bad as some of you are making out?
Guest Shangri-La Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 WTF is wrong with some of you!? This is awful!! And Hermione, have you heard it? There is definitely autotune... anyway, I found this on kroq and had to laugh "Worst Cover of All Time" http://kroq.radio.com/2010/03/29/worst-cover-of-all-time-goes-to-popstar-iyaz-for-green-days-21-guns/
newsflash777 Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 I still need to listen to this I will when I get home.
Hermione Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 When in the song is the autotune? What lyrics? I can't hear it and neither can my sister . He's a pretty bad singer so autotune probably would've improved it, but I don't hear any. I sure hear autotune on "guns" in the chorus of Green Day's version though.
XxRedundantCastaway86xX Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 i really dislike rap and hip hop but I have some respect for this guy because he appreciates Green Day's music.
Hermione Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 What's with all the hate for rap on this site? All types of music have good and bad in them. Even Green Day can appreciate some rap so I don't understand the aversion to it around here. Although I can't believe anyone thinks of Iyaz as a rapper. He's an RnB singer.
horrorkiss Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 His voice wasn't that great. I found it a pretty cool idea, though. But it was nothing special. I was kinda looking forward to him doing it more RnB style.
