I hope that theory is correct, because I'm getting pretty close to spending my money on other stuff... I do feel that the South American dates should be sorted through first, because the South American fans have been waiting for this for a long time and deserve it more, but it would be nice if the GD site could be updated with a news post telling us that they're going through sorting South American dates now, and that the rest of the promised US dates will be coming shortly after that.

Yeah, I think the South American dates should be sorted out first. But I really hate that Green Day announced a handful of US dates and it's been months and they still haven't released others. I just don't think it's fair; it just bothers me.

the South American dates show that they have all of September and the beginning of October off, though. so we can't give up hope!

but seriously, they CAN'T not play North CA. like.....they just can't. i just don't understand why they aren't announcing anything.

I mean this tour can't be too short, cause that would be totally not awesome unless they are planning on going out as FBHT or something and they are working out those details too ya know.. I have missed them the last few times around and now that I can actually afford a few tickets.. there had better be something going on!

Ok, is anyone else starting to feel really discouraged? I know we have been talking shit since March but, today, for me, these feelings have really come to a head. I have been saving vacation days all year for a tour that seems like it isn't gonna happen. The dates that have already been released are 99% out of the question for me and that's saying a lot. Partly, I guess I wanted dates for my birthday, which was yesterday and is now over And October is slowly filling up (not that I'm against SA dates cause, god knows, they have waited long enough). My only hope is that you are right about them not missing norcal and I can afford to fly out there and see at least a couple shows. (Attn: GDC friends, I may need a place to crash...) Because, really, what are the chances they will tour in November? Not hopeless, right? It has happened before...

I don't think they won't add more dates to the US leg of the tour Just have a look at the tourpage:

Europe: One month, one month break

US: One month, one month break

South American: 20 days, (work on the new record?)

You know what I mean? Maybe they'll add 2-3 more gigs but not more...

Seriously? What happened to the "more dates to come" on their page and AFI's? You guys have made me want to cry, especially since I officially can't go to Lollapalooza... Guess I better hit up some scalper for tix to one of the dates we have and save money for airfare, huh?

Honestly I don't know the answers to your questions. And they are valid but without insider information your guess about additional US dates is as good as any of ours. Sure we'd all like the band to come to every one of our home towns. But I'm getting the feeling it's just not going to happen. (And I'd love to be pleasantly surprised and taken to task for being negative if more dates are announced.)
