I'm so fucking pissed off. I couldn't get a ticket for Camden, NJ. I've had a horrible week....and all I ask for is a ticket to the ONE fucking GD show I wanted to go to, and I didn't get to. SON OF A BITCH!

And I mean this week was horrible. My dad went off the deep end and has illusions that my mom is cheating on him, which she isn't. He literally went on a rampage and threatened me and my mom's lives and to burn down our house. I've never had to call 911 before, and well, I did this week. We finally got him into a hospital involunterly, and now he's threatening to break out. We've both got PFA's against him. How fucking wonderful.

Aww, Courtney... I am so sorry. :( You shouldn't have had to go through that.

But don't give up hope, okay? :) They still haven't released all of the US dates yet, so there's a chance that Philly could be one of the upcoming dates. Or even Pittsburgh! (If you'd be willing to travel that far.) You still have some hopes of attending a show or two.

wtf?!

on greenday.com this thingy on there says these dates are in july... lol

What?! Why would they fly from Belgium to NJ, then to Italy, and then Buffalo? Plus, everywhere else--even their own site--says those dates are in August.

I'm still waiting for some more West coast dates... specifically Seattle.

Same. I want Seattle or Portland because I can go to either. I can't afford to go to CA on the other hand, so they better put dates around here.

Some fucking idiot just made a typo.

And thank you StJimmylied, but I've pretty much given up all hope.

Feel free to call me Angela. :)

But I wouldn't give up hope just yet. Like I said, they could always add a Philly date, and you'd be most likely able to attend that, right? There's always a chance of that happening. They seem to love going to Philly.

ya, also hoping for the midwest for sure. hopefully st.louis again!! i cant wait to see the new dates to find out :/

Ugh, when are they going to release more dates? I hate waiting like this, and I hate the uncertainty. I don't know if they are coming here or not, and I won't know until who knows when. And if they DON'T come near me, then I'm going to have to travel somewhere else, but good tickets to those other places will probably all be gone and jksflshakjfhsaifsaifhidsfhds.

Precisely why this is a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

I so hope they come to St. Louis again too! I would like Chicago also. If they come to both, I might have to starve myself so I can attend both epic events.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but do the mosh pits get CRAZY, like really rough?

I think it just depends from place to place. Speaking from experience, my pit wasn't too rough. There were a couple of people pushing each other around kind of close to where I was, but I managed to stay away from them. And there were a couple of fucking douchebags who decided to try to run forward and slam me out of the way so they could get a little closer to the stage, but I wouldn't let them. With the exception of those people, the pit wasn't really that rough.

But even though my crowd was (for the most part) tame, other crowds could be more rough. There's no guaranteeing what the crowd will be like - you just have to go to a show and see for yourself.

I guess it really depends on the people in the crowd. The one I was in wasn't really that bad. The first few songs were pretty intense, but it calmed down a lot after that. I normally bruise really easily and I didn't come home with a single bruise or anything. Just be aware of what's going on around you and you'll probably be fine.

I need another Chitown date, I can't go to Lolla! Maybe Indy or Milwaukee?

Posted

I went the whole show in Seattle without having one person touch me (besides the arms of the people directly beside me) and I was on the barrier.

Every pit is different - even if you are in the same city on 2 different nights.

Brisbane first concert was really tight and lots of bruises from the crush, but the second night was really relaxed and there was even room to move a bit.

sometimes the pit is a but crushed, but not violent - that's OK

but when they get violent it's a bit of a worry.

Sheffield had a nasty pit.

I am so sorry. You will get through this. Just stay strong. You will see them, I'm sure.

My sentiments exactly.... last summer was great ... now I've got a work a little harder to get the tickets and seats I want.

^ Um... that's weird.

And on a sidenote... GODDAMMIT, RELEASE THE REST OF THE US DATES ALREADY, PLEASE! It's so difficult to be patient for them. Ugh, they should have just released all the dates at one time.

THIS!! I need to plan my roadtrip!

Precisely why this is a clusterfuck of epic proportions.

In all my years I've never been so stressed about being able to get tickets! Clusterfuck, indeed.

Posted

Seriously, clusterfuck is the best word I can use to describe this fuckery! I thought maybe they'd announce more dates today :/

Posted

I thought we would have had dates by now.

Posted

I'm afraid that they might not have any shows near me because of the Lollapallooza....but you never know.

I'm so sorry love. Everything will be okay, you'll see. Your fellow GDCers are here for you.

Love always,

Glynnis

I hear you; I live in Ohio but I could take the train to Chicago easily if they do a show there, but I can't afford Lolla.

Yeah, I don't think I would be able to go to Lolla either, so I'm hoping that they'll come at least relatively close to where I live =/ I'll go any distance to see them :D
