Yea I know, but I just went to a Muse concert and I had seats and I practically fell on the dude in front of me... I get carried away  ESPECIALLY if it's Green Day! I really hope they'll remove the seats, I can't imagine them not though.

I am sure that both of these bands/their booking people would make the request that all removable seats in the front be taken out

Seriously. I guess I just figured it would be like last time around and $50 would be the most expensive tickets for general admission and I kinda planned around that. I think seeing Green Day live is worth $70, it's just that I can't bring myself to spend that much on just one concert ticket right now.

EXACTLY. It's not that I'm against paying that much, it's that I can't!

I have no problem missing a day or two for a Green Day concert.

I value them much more than I value being told what to do all day.

Wish it were that easy for me...Detroit is the first day of classes and I'll be kicked out of them if I don't go that day. God hates me, obviously!

 Truth!

It's kinda stupid to start selling tickets when we don't even have the whole tour schedule yet.

I agree. I don't know if I can go to Detroit, it would be easier for me to go to a Cleveland show the day before or after, or a Chicago show before. But, shit, tickets for Detroit go on sale Friday, and I'm afraid they're going to sell out, and I wanted to go with friends, so even if I do go, I'll end up with a shitty uncovered lawn seat away from friends probably. :(

Joy darling, take at least three seconds every minute to breath!! It will all work out for you! It has to!

Alright..I will. You're right...it will work out for me...and it will.

I just need to think positively. Thanks....I needed that. :)

This!

When I went to the concert in D.C. last year, I almost fell on these kids cause I was going ape shit when Longview came on...

and another dude fell down like, 5 rows...and I was like, holy shit! and he just hopped right back up and continued to play his air guitar.

We should make a Cali meet up.

Anyone up for it?

hell yes to a Cali meet up!

and i think it depends on the venue whether they take out seats or not. at Shoreline Amp im almost positive they do not take them out. but you have "3 feet of room all around you to dance around in"

TRUE THAT.

It is sooo stupid that no one knows if they are going to add more dates or how many or where. I mean I would much rather see them at the VA Beach amphitheater. If the do announce a date there I seriously doubt I can save enough for another ticket, plus the whole college classes with attendance policies.

Yay for breathing & trying to relax! I am sure that selling your textbooks will help a lot. There are always those sites where you can read them online anyways

DC FTW! Except I want them to add a VA Beach date...oh well...

Is it worth it to join IC just for the three day difference of IC presales vs. local presales?

For the Verizon Center show in DC last summer my wife and I found it well worth it. The will-call pickup was pretty well organized, and -- we landed section 100 row L, first two seats on the left-hand aisle of the section. We had a TOTALLY PERFECT, unobstructed view of the entire stage....we weren't so close that we got to see Billie's fillings or anything quite *that* good (doing that well would have required that we brave the pit, which the wifey is firmly against!), but there ain't no way in hell we would have wound up with bowl seats that good without going through the IC presale. If you don't have access to (or know someone who has access to) the venue's VIP sales, IC presale is next in line for primo seats, even before other promotions' presales. If (as I suspect) the Lube isn't able to pull seats out down front to make room for a pit, you can bet your ass we'll get seats as close as we can to the stage this time -- It'd be a treat to get something on the right-hand aisle of Orchestra 2 down front, near to where Mike sets up.

I can't sit at a green day concert. I need to stand. It's like I'm gonna pee on myself if I sit down.

Even if you have seats, Billie will not, not, NOT let you sit in them. :) First words out of his mouth to the crowd at Verizon Center last summer were "STAND THE FUCK UP!!!!"

Haha thanks, the filling part made me laugh. I'm definitely considering it now. For me, I most definitely am going for the pit. Even being a whopping 5'2 + 3/4" :P , it's just not the same in seats. Well, last time I went to Darien Lake, one of my dad's coworkers went with us and it just so happened that she also worked security at the venue. So I got pit tickets (er bracelets heh) for the price of the 200s. Though I doubt that'll happen again. =/

hahaha!!! I remember that!!! My sister has never been to a Green Day concert, let alone a rock concert and when Billie said that she was like, "Oh...alright. I'm afraid to sit down now."

and the only time she sat back down was when he played the acoustic version of Christie Road. and that was like, the end of the concert. xD

Fuck...I really need to go to this fucking concert!!

It's do or die.

Thank you, I'm afraid I'm sounding bitchy but I'm just so upset and stressed about this! I've been looking forward to this all year, and then the management fucks us all over.

THIS x100000000000!

It's do or die.

I feel the same damn way.

I feel like no one is really being bitchy and if they are it is justified since we are all sitting here pulling out our teeth waiting.

This.

To tell you the truth, I didn't think the date and the tickets would get released until May.

I'm like a chicken running around with his head cut off trying to scrounge up money for these tickets.

and believe me, it's quite hard to find $40.00 for tickets in 3 days.

My wife's shorter (5-0) and I ain't exactly a giant myself, and she's also concerned about the physical endurance demands (tho I'd agree that at least as far as I could see from my vantage-point, the VC pit last summer seemed pretty tame even close to the stage). The thing that really gets both of us is that in GA, there ain't no bathroom from the time you're let out onto the floor 'til the show is over, and that's a deal-breaker for both of us. The way I prefer to look at it is "the 100-level section: where your 20something aspirations meets your 40something reality!"

When Billie spouted off he was looking right at some crowd of jokers in the club level right above our section -- it was so damn cool to turn around and see all of 'em with these "oh, shit!!" looks on their faces, all standing up on command. And my wife was looking at me like "what on earth have you gotten me into here???"....totally priceless!

Ahhh, yes, Christie Road acoustic played for the first time on that leg of the tour........I remember that well.........mmmmmmmmmmmm..........:wub::wub::wub::wub:

I'll give my left nut for Last Night On Earth acoustic this time 'round!

Thats how tall I am. 5'0. I was in the pit once for another concert (AFI actually) and it was torture for me. If I had been on the barrier it would have been better I think. I was 3rd row and people were using me for arm rests and it felt like I was invisible. But I'm going to try it again only I have a much better plan now. Either I'm on the barrier or I watch from a further distance.

Yes please this is much needed so we all can plan what dates we want to go to so we can all request time off and do what we need to do.

I had no issues with the will call system at the SAN JOSE show. I got there early was able to pick up my tickets from the window and get my numbers wristband that determined what spot i would be in for the GA line.

Could I get a quick question answered?? Is Green Day for SURE announcing more dates (please say yes...)??

 So true. When Billie started yelling at the crowd to stand the fuck up at my show, he made me feel like standing the fuck up even though I was on the floor so I was already standing. That's just an order that's impossible to ignore.

Hmm. Maybe for the Toronto one my grandparents and parents would be nice and send me a ticket back home and I can see Green Day? Now that would be killer! I'm officialy jealous of you who guys are seeing Green Day in Toronto!

LOL, I LOVE HOW YOU CAPITALIZE SAN JOSE.

I hated the Will Call, but I didn't have to wait in the line for it, because my mom went to get the wristbands, while I waited in the GA line.

I'll probobly be in the back of the back of the mosh pit, since it's during the school year.

lmao. I know what you mean, when he said it at my show I had a seat but I was already standing, and I wanted to like, jump or something so I could stand up more  Billie has such authority.

Yeah, that's true. I mean, you don't want to be dehydrated but you also don't want to have to piss like a racehorse an hour in. Haha I'm sure I'll be in the same mindset come 20 years.

i hate not knowing for sure how much tickets will be. and i hope the idiot club doesn't do the will call thing again cause last time it was a complete disaster and screwed me big time.

Ticketmaster says that select locations are paperless tickets....you need the credit card you used to purcase the ticket and photo ID to get in. I like that because it screws the scalpers, but I know it causes problems for kids without credit cards.
