Angie-Marie Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 still waiting patiently for a Chicago date, I asked my mom about Detroit and she pulled the whole "It's to dangerous" thing on me Tell your mom the Detroit show isn't actually in Detroit, it's really in the suburbs. You wouldn't be lying.
newsflash777 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 My parents should probably let me go to two shows, but seriously, I cannot afford two $400 tickets. I don't fucking know what to do right now.
Mar Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 still waiting patiently for a Chicago date, I asked my mom about Detroit and she pulled the whole "It's to dangerous" thing on me I'll second Angie above, you are going to the ultimate suburbia in Oakland County, one of the richest counties in the US. As long as you don't get off of I-75 in the Detroit city limits (well, the east side of downtown by Ford Field and Joe Louis is nice), you're totally fine!
norcalgreendayfan Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Wow I just saw on Ticketmaster for the shows they got listed on there tickets will be $85 for the expensive seats. I dunno If I will be able to go to all the Cali shows with tickets being that much.

spark in the night Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I don't think I'll be able to see them this summer
newsflash777 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I don't think I'll be able to see them this summer Me neither. aljdf;ksjf I'm in my school library and just almost started crying, hahaha.

They really bleed you dry and they probably hiked the ticket prices so they can recoup all the fees. This really sucks I really wanted to get to as many shows as I can.

norcalgreendayfan Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Yeah, it really really sucks. I thought it was just DTE charging that much, but I guess not. Who can afford that? Yeah guess it isn't. I'm not sure who can afford that looks like I'll be hitting the norcal shows. Unsure of the socal ones.
Mar Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I'll be lucky if I can get enough money together in time to buy a ticket to one show!
Angie-Marie Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Yeah, it really really sucks. I thought it was just DTE charging that much, but I guess not. Who can afford that? Seriously. I guess I just figured it would be like last time around and $50 would be the most expensive tickets for general admission and I kinda planned around that. I think seeing Green Day live is worth $70, it's just that I can't bring myself to spend that much on just one concert ticket right now.
Velocity Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I wish they'd list the prices for the Holmdel show sometime soon. Like TODAY. They could at least have the concert up on Ticketmaster's site.
valentinesandcigs Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 85 dollars is still cheap for today's ticket prices. Neil Young is charging 245 dollars and Lady Gaga is charging 185 dollars. I think its pretty fair.
Sister of Grace Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 It's about the same as for the stadium shows here in Europe. What kind of venues are they playing in the US? Stadiums? Arenas?

I think its pretty fair. Yeah it is just compared to what the prices were for the arena tour it's like wow. That's a bit of a jump
valentinesandcigs Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Yeah it is just compared to what the prices were for the arena tour it's like wow. That's a bit of a jump Oh yeah compared to 50 dollars 85 is a jump haha.
Fuzz Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 It's about the same as for the stadium shows here in Europe. What kind of venues are they playing in the US? Stadiums? Arenas? Most places seem smaller than arenas because they're all open venues.
Sister of Grace Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Most places seem smaller than arenas because they're all open venues. Ah okay, I see.
Laura! Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 There's an Idiot Club bundle, so maybe the $85 tickets are for that.
AndrewW91 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Yeah, and I am going to be so pissed if we don't learn all of the dates this week. I don't know if I can make Detroit, I need to know if I should buy tickets for there (as is idk if I'll have money), or if they're coming to Cleveland and I could go to that show instead...shit, I don't know. This is so frustating! It's seriously the worst time to tour. It's not a "summer" tour for students. It's summer according to the calendar, but not to schools! I have no problem missing a day or two for a Green Day concert. I value them much more than I value being told what to do all day.
Velocity Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 So from what I read in the Rolling Stone article it's supposed to be one flat fee, right? If it's $85, it'll just be that much, without any extra costs?

Guest Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 85 dollars...for one ticket? omg they have lost their minds.
valentinesandcigs Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 85 dollars...for one ticket? omg they have lost their minds. lol would you rather spend 245 dollars like Neil Young or 85 dollars? Guys they aren't doing fee's which means its more expensive.
