Heather! Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I can't find pricing anywhere...and it's making me very sad. I NEED to know these prices now. I'm so stressed out about these ticket prices, that I'm crying right now. That's how bad I wanna go to this fucking concert. Awww, I really hope you can pull the money together. I couldn't afford to see them on the first leg of the tour, so I know how shitty that feels. Good luck!

If they are...I'm screwed.
norcalgreendayfan Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 That is awesome that you're going to so many, but man, it just won't be the same without SAN JOSE! Bah, I'm holding out for a miracle. I know it won't be the same without SAN JOSE and im gonan try at least
Velocity Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I'm not completely sure yet, but I think I want to go the the Holmdel show by myself. When I saw Green Day last summer I brought a friend who really didn't like GD, so I felt like I didn't have all the fun I could've had if she wasn't there. If I go by myself this time I might be able to geek out a little bit more than if I had friends with me. Especially since none of my friends really like Green Day much at all. Plus since the show's in my town, I'd just have to drive 10 minutes to get there, and not be afraid about taking public transportation by myself. But I've never been to a concert alone before, and I guess I'm just a bit nervous about it. Has anyone else gone alone before or plan to on this leg of the tour?
Angie-Marie Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 But I've never been to a concert alone before, and I guess I'm just a bit nervous about it. Has anyone else gone alone before or plan to on this leg of the tour? I went alone when I saw Green Day in July and had an amazing time. I met new people and got to do whatever I wanted when I got to the show, it was pretty awesome really.

I been to shows for other bands and seen Green Day alone before last April, It was cool I enjoyed the music and talked to a few people. I bet you would meet a bunch of awesome people at the show that you would get along with since Green Day fans are the best ones out tehre
Guest ☼ Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 So I was really wanting to go to a few shows. Obviously the Seattle and or Portland one - which ever one they decide to do and then a Cali show so I could meet up with some of you. But Guh! Not for $70 a ticket. One concert at that price is going to be hard enough for me.

I went to a local show alone, last year in Bloomfield and I was scared as hell cause I didn't know anybody. But when I waited on line with all the other fans, it wasn't so bad and my nervousness went away. and plus, you know people on here so in's not like you really don't know anybody...so that might be a plus. I was planning on going alone for this leg cause I know nobody who shares my love for Green Day like I do. But my friend wouldn't let me go alone and he's gonna go with me. He knows my love for Green Day and he's gonna learn all the songs so he "Won't embarass me in front of my Green Day friends." You'll have fun...meeting other Green Day fans and such. And hopefully...I'll be there. I would like to meet you. *crosses fingers*
Teenage Kicks! Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 omg...you really scared the shit outta me right there! My pulse returned back to normal. I'm trying to check LiveNation now and they're not telling me anything. Radda, Radda...I'm getting fucking frustrated! I just wanna buy these tickets and get it over with. WORD. Lmao I freaked out.
IzButt Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 YES YES YES YES YES YES So excited aahh! Los Angeles+San Diego meetups ftw
Guest ☼ Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I might be able to pull off one in San Diego because my hubby has been wanting to go there for ages now. ohhhh I think I have a selling point to get him to go now. ha ha ha HA!
Mar Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I went alone and while there are some awesome people on here I'd like to go to a show with, if I can't get a ticket with them, if I can go at all, I'll go alone.
Guest ☼ Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I just really want to meet up with a few people on here at a concert.

I would like to meet you. *crosses fingers* Yeah, I'd love to meet you too! Along with all the other GDCers coming to that show. Even if the biggest meet-up will be in Camden. We should all wear something that'll identify us as GDCers. I don't know what though.

But don't worry...the PNC Bank Arts Center will be the best. At least our chances of getting shanked went down by 85% All I have to represent my GDC-ness is my GDC wristbands. Or we could wear crazy hats or put GDC signs on our t-shirts. xD

But I don't have any though, they should sell another batch before the tour starts.

I remember I told my Creative Writing class that I was going to Camden for a concert... they all drew in their breath and was like, "Ohhh....Camden. Good luck not getting robbed and/or killed!" But they should sell another batch of wristbands before the tour starts. It's one of the best ways for GDC-ers to identiy each other.
Bastard of 1967 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Bring plenty of pepper spray with you just to be safe, okay? I'm kind of glad I won't be going to Camden. (Speaking as a former Philadelphian) -- they've recently done a LOT of work on the Camden waterfront where the concert is going to be. The rest of the area is shit, but the waterfront's a nice place to be now. There's the ampitheater now, a world-class aquarium, and Penns Landing in Philly is a water taxi ride away. If Green Day wasn't playing closer to home (if 45 minutes outside the DC beltway close to Manassas is what you'd call "close") I'd be hopping a train up to Philly to see them in a heartbeat!

Sarahnade. Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I don't know about seeing them now. I must must must go to Camden, but I don't know how I'm going to do that. I'm wondering about the DC and Darien Center shows too, and the Holmdel show. Ugh.
MascaraTears Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I can't believe this. I cannot fucking believe this. they are going to be 50 minutes away from my house and I can't fucking go because my mom won't fucking drive to camden because it's too dangerous and it's "really far anyway". 50 minutes??? people drive hours to see green day concerts. but since I don't have my license I have to rely on my mom to get me places. and then they'll be in holmdel, which is way safer but god knows, if 50 fucking minutes away is too far then 2 hours is just unreasonable.... shit shit shit I don't know a single other person who likes green day, besides one girl who won't be allowed to go to camden because her parents are really strict. and I bet they won't tour again until I'm halfway through college.   I just sobbed for half an hour. /rant sorry I'm really really upset right now edit: she just came back in and said "okay how about this. I'll at least discuss the options with you later. now, that does NOT mean you can go necessarily, blah blah blah..." but there might be hope
misslyssx Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I can probably pick up anyone who's on the way. I'm flying to PA and driving to Camden from there.
Velocity Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Does anyone know if you can use a Visa/American Express gift card to get tickets? I called LiveNation about this and they told me to call Ticketmaster. I go on the Ticketmaster site and I can't find their phone number for the life of me.

Seedless_Reject Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 still waiting patiently for a Chicago date, I asked my mom about Detroit and she pulled the whole "It's to dangerous" thing on me
