Velocity Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I don't know if this has been discussed already, but if they're going to be at at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, then they're probably going to be at PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel. The venues are very similar in size, and I've noticed in the past that if an artist goes to Susquehanna Bank Center, they almost always go to PNC. Awesome thing about this: PNC is in my hometown. Green Day in my hometown?! Nuff said. Bad thing about this: PNC has no pit area. Which will take a lot away from the awesomeness of the show. D: Has anyone else from the NY/NJ area thought of this?

I read half of your post, and the pit area thing came to mind right away. I love going there for concerts, although PNC seems like such a small venue for GD. I've never been to the Camden venue, matter of fact, I had never heard of it before today. Not a fan of going down there myself, but I will of course. Better bullet proof my car, lol.
Robin105 Posted March 13, 2010 Author Posted March 13, 2010 I really hope they dont play Jones Beach. I have no way of getting there if they do. Also Valentinesandsigs I see your from NY too and you said you found a train route. Would you mind sharing that with me. Thanks

Also Valentinesandsigs I see your from NY too and you said you found a train route. Would you mind sharing that with me. Thanks I forgot about Jones Beach - now THAT is an awesome place to see a concert. I always love going there...always find it funny that they don't sell alcohol tho, lol. Again, another place where there is no pit. What other outdoor venue is there but Giant's Stadium? (I'm not even sure if the old one is open or the new one is yet?) Unless they do Citi Field or Yankee stadium?

valentinesandcigs Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 You get on the train at penn station and take it to Trenton. Then you go on the riverline at trenton and go to the last stop. That leaves you right at the venue.
*withoutadoubt* Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 ^That sounds pretty safe, then i really really really hope they play citifield! its like in my backyard lol is Camden not so hot of an area? does anyone know where the train leaves you in regards to the stadium? I'll quote, "In 2009, Camden had the highest crime rate in the U.S." I've only been there once, to the State Aquarium, and it looked like any other city, but I've heard it's not such a safe place. Sorry - I have no idea about public transport around there at all. I'm sure you can Google it, tho.

So maybe I'll be in luck. i really really really hope they play citifield! its like in my backyard lol is Camden not so hot of an area? does anyone know where the train leaves you in regards to the stadium? Yes Citifield would be awesome! You get on the train at penn station and take it to Trenton. Then you go on the riverline at trenton and go to the last stop. That leaves you right at the venue. Thanks. Though it sounds a little complicated for me. I don't know the way around my own house.
*withoutadoubt* Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Oh there's no pit at Jones Beach? So maybe I'll be in luck. Not that I'm aware of. I've been there for two or three concerts, one being Stone Temple Pilots, and there was no pit for them.

So maybe I'll luck out. Giants Stadium (the old one closed) and I think the new one isn't open yet. I'm not sure. Also you mentioned Yankee Stadium that would be fine too. You just take the LIRR. That I could do. But Jones Beach I would have to drive on the highway which I have never done.

Thats why they built a little stage next to the Nikon Theater, but they usually have not as popular band play there

misslyssx Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I hated The Bravery's performance when they opened for Green Day when I saw them. But I actually like AFI, so I'm happy. YES YES YES! Who all is seeing them in PA? I'll for sure be seeing them in PA if they're there before the 12th! If it's after that it depends how much money I have and how many other dates I'm going to.
Mari91 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 HI MARIANN im just hoping central park on the great lawn. they did it last year, bon jovi did also, i think they can do it hey David!! central park would be great!
spark in the night Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I'm excited. I don't care if they come on my first day of school or whatever, I am going! Though it sucks that AFI will be there. They always pick shitty openers. The Bravery were horrible too. Kaiser Cheifs were lame too I'm tellin ya, if they bring Alkaline Trio on the tour it would be so kickass!
Sara. Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 SHIT. I'll be traveling to New York in June, and I'll travel back to norway ine the end of July. Damn
Sarahnade. Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I hope they don't only do outdoor shows. Outdoor places are pretty far from me.
valentinesandcigs Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I hope they don't only do outdoor shows. Outdoor places are pretty far from me. Which is why you should come to Camden and enjoy the first show of the tour with me. Um i'm sure they will do arenas but i bet it will be mostly outdoors.
Angela. Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I hope they don't only do outdoor shows. Outdoor places are pretty far from me. This. Arenas would be fantastic.
misslyssx Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I hope they don't only do outdoor shows. Outdoor places are pretty far from me. Same! If they play where they did last year in Atlanta I will make sure I'm the first one there. It's like 2 minutes from my house. Anywhere else may be a problem though

Um i'm sure they will do arenas but i bet it will be mostly outdoors. New Jersey is far awayyyy. I will Mapquest it now. Camden is 5 hours away D: They need to play Pittsburgh, they really do.
valentinesandcigs Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I will be going to Pittsburgh btw i asked my parents and they said it was cool. But yeah i need to know when tickets are going on sale like right now!
Angela. Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 New Jersey is far awayyyy. I will Mapquest it now. Camden is 5 hours away D: They need to play Pittsburgh, they really do. That's around the same time for me, too. And Pittsburgh is a must. I know that if they don't come here, but instead go to Philly, I'm fucked. Nobody would take me to Philly. And yay@ Alex being able to go to the possible Pittsburgh show. I say a GDC meet up here is mandatory.
AfterShock Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Chicago please....I was so pissed when I couldn't make the UC show. Sure as hell won't miss them again!
