I get the feeling you compared the albums, when it was supposed to be a competition between the two title songs.

I'm sorry to say but in all fairness, the poll should be taken again and explain(!) that the songs are in the poll, not the albums.

The voting is biased now, to a big extent IMO. Though, it would get quite complicated to do it all over again. Just want to be fair, 21st CB is an awesome song I'm not saying that it isn't, and I wouldn't mind a single bit if it won, I just have a feeling the win will be a bit tainted.

American idiot is an amazing song with a great riff and it's message is very direct. This makes it the obvious choice, but 21st century breakdown some how just feels bigger. 21st century breakdown gets my vote

I still love AI though, but for me...it's just too repetitive and I've heard it way too many times, that I don't really like it as much as I used to. :/

I have made my decision.

Both songs are excellent and their musical and lyrical content is amazing.

American Idiot has a strong message and it's very straight foward and powerful and the guitar riff is just pure...

On the other hand, 21st Century Breakdown sounds...epic. The begining is epic, the way the music style changes is epic, and the lyrics just describe my life right now.

It just make my heart and soul just fill up with...epic-ness. [i can't describe it.]

So my vote goes to 21st Centruy Breakdown, even though I still love American Idiot.

I´ll go with AI, it´s an amazing song and not comparable to any rocksong of the past years in my opinion! 21st Century Breakdown is great as well, but I´d rather compare it to Jesus of Suburbia. Not only because of the length but also because of it´s content.

omg...this is the hardest one so far definately.........i had to think about this the whole day.....ai is one amazing song with a great melody and incredible lyrics.....but 21st cb is just overwhelming,beautiful the demo coming out was just so emotional for me.....so after hours of thinking i chose 21st century breakdown because its just one huge masterpiece i totally love <3

The song is incredibly epic, and its amazing how far Green Day has come since 39/Smooth

It also is one of the best, most pump up live songs I've ever witnessed...
