Green Day on the radio

"When I Come Around" today! Not that that's rare, but I felt like I ALWAYS heard it before I became obsessed with them, and now I never hear it

i heard When I Come Around a while ago.... I jumped out of bed(I was sick) and ran around the kitchen....... Didnt feel too good after it, but waaaaaaaaaaaaay worth it

oh!! And I texted in on Monday to ask for some Green Day, then this couple came on aer andasked for Holiday, I was like screaming and ran downstairs (sick again ) and screamed along to it..... kinda puked after but I didnt mind

Holy crap, last night right before I went to bed I turned on my clock radio and Longview was playing!!! Ok and then this morning my alarm clock radio woke me up and 21 Guns was playing pretty freaky huh? I was totally flipping out this morning and last night

I heard Mother Mary in Art yesterday! I was in the teacher's office getting a picture, and my friend Lacey was calling for me. She told me to come quick, so I ran over. She held her iPod up (which has radio on it) and said that the Foxboro Hot Tubs were on. I was like, "OMG GIVE ME A FUCKING HEADPHONE." I was excited, haha. I only heard it from the 2nd verse until the end, but oh well, it was better than nothing.

I heard Basket Case yesterday. I know it's a single, but I've never heard anything that old played on the radio. It was exciting. One time in 2005 I heard When I Come Around. It was exciting.

I was happy, because it's been months since I've listened to the radio, and both days I decided to, Green Day was played.

On my local radio station they play all the singles and also play 2000 Light Years Away, American Eulogy and Minority, Warning alot . I've heard Last of the American Girls, Murder City, and a couple more of the none singles from 21st Century Breakdown too. They also play some Green Day covers I fought the Law, the Saints are Coming and Working Class Hero. They mainly play singles though like Basket Case, Brain Stew/Jaded, American Idiot, Good Riddance and many more. The best time to hear a non single is requesting one for the all request lunch at 12:00 they play an hour of only requested music. They usually play me songs that are non singles except once when I requested 2000 Light Years Away 3 times in 5 days for the the DJ(it was the same DJ every time) told me to request things other people would know too since not everyone knows those Green Day songs. It's all good though because they play Green Day more than 5 times everyday they also have alot of Green Day songs they added to the 500 best and most play songs of the decade on KFMA. I like most the other bands that come on too it's an awesome rock station!!! I also love that they talk about Green Day give away awesome prizes for Green Day like a fly away to WA last year to see them in Seattle, a green Ipod with everything Green Day has out concert tickets, CD's and photo passes to take pics of them. They even had the 12 bands of Christmas and Green Day was one picked so they play just Green Day for an hour!!!

Nothing special around here. Ive heard Basket Case, When I Come Around, Good Riddance, Holiday, Blvd of Broken Dreams, Wake Me Up When September Ends, Know Your Enemy and 21 Guns. Ive requested St. Jimmy, Christie Road and One of My Lies on the college station, and one time me and my friend were drivin around smokin some weed and got the urge to hear some GD, so I tell him to call the local hits station and request 'Going To Pasalacqua' and see what they say, so he does and they tell him "oh no we can't play that, but we can play When I Come Around!" and he asks "why can't you play that? Why can't I hear this or 2,000 Light Years Away?? It's Green Day motherfucker!'" and after some arguing goes "you don't know Green Day, you don't know Kerplunk, you don't know SHIT!" and hangs up the phone haha.

I've only heard Green Day on the radio when I've been with my sister, who listens to the radio. I've never EVER listened to the radio willingly. True story.

21 Guns is played heaps on the mainstream radio stations here but there's a rock station (The Rock) that plays a bunch of songs like Jesus of Suburbia, Basket Case and yeah, basically the singles from Dookie onwards.
