And I heard LOTAG followed by Murder City before it was announced to be a single. I SO freaked out. I also heard Mother Mary back in mid 08 on Cicago's Q101, they even announced it was a Green Day side project!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 The only ones I've heard are KYE, 21st Century Breakdown but its horror edit where they removed the whole Class of 13 part, BOBD, WMUWSE, American Idiot, Basket Case, Longview (only once, actually, when I was a new fan and I knew the song and its name, but I wasn't as far as connecting the name to the song xD), and maybe When I Come Around but I'm not sure of that. Oh, and The Saints Are Coming and maybe their Working Class Hero cover, but I'm not sure. edit: just saw this and figured I'd post it, it doesn't really need a thread though. Eeefaa. Posted March 6, 2010 Posted March 6, 2010 I never hear Green Day on Irish radio...but I don't listen to the radio that much, so.... Although there's this station called Phantom FM and if you text in, they'll almost always play a GD song for you. One time, about 4 years ago, I texted in and asked them to wish Tre Cool a very happy birthday. They read out the whole text, said happy birthday to him, and then played Redundant. it was so beautiful I've only ever heard KYE, BOBD and TSAC, but the last two were in the middle of the night coming back from the airport okay, so how do i get this radio station? d'awh, thats awesome- could you imagine any of our other radio stations reading that out?

I took the liberty of speeding down the aisle, leaning on the trolley with my feet of the floor whilst singing along to my heart's content. The manager wasn't impressed but I had a grand old time with the boys and my trolley.

Green Day Cellist Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Well my favorite radio station, Channel 93.3, plays a lot of songs like She, When I Come Around, 21 guns, Know Your Enemy, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake Me up When September Ends, Longview, East Jesus Nowhere, Brain Stew....I have also surprisingly heard Walking Contradiction, Hitchin' a Ride, Warning and I even requested Green Day, and the radio guy picked Espionage! the radio station always seems to play Green Day
songbird. Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 They don't EVER play Green Day's new album on any popular station around here. They don't play anything other than Dookie songs. That's the only Green Day they play. When I Come Around, Redundant, Basket Case, etc I'm glad they don't play the new album because I'd rather it be underplayed than overplayed like American Idiot.

Holly Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 I suppose I don't listen to the right sort of radio stations to really hear much Green Day. If I remember right I heard East Jesus Nowhere on radio one the other day/week, got so excited I had to jump out of bed and dance around. That was very rare for them though, they never play Green Day. The only other time I remember hearing Green Day on there is the weekend of Milton Keynes when they did a whole feature on Green Day and played songs and live songs from the gig and that was lovely, although I just sat in my room and cried because I wasn't there. My local radio station, LincsFM, loves WMUWSE. I've heard that a lot on there, and BIAB quite a few times, but I have never heard anything else. I remember about four years ago being in a friends car and I don't know what radio station it was, but Basket Case came on and I got so unbelievably excited! My friends had no idea what the song was but gosh, it was great
