His band was popular and he was making it big, and suddenly they lost it all. John definatley wanted to keep on making music,but the band was falling apart. I still think he's a jerk, but If I were him I'd probably be bitter too.

It's part of his character. And Green Day can take the criticism. They've heard it before and will surely hear it again. It is true, Green Day have received lots on critisim from people for years now, am I right? So why would this bother them? Mr Lydon is well known to be arrogant to other people, but that's how he is. You people have got to accept him the way he is. I know he may piss you off or whatever, but try to listen to his opinions and then point out what's different about his than your opinion. Try it, it might change the way you think of him. Although I have to say, I admire Mr Lydon more when he was "Johnny Rotten" - but I still love him now
