Maddy. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010        I knew you'd like it. I cried during the performance. And yes, I'm aware I've told every single member on the forum this.
Joy of suburbia. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I think hearing 21 Guns live made me respect it more, but the album version is kinda boring tbh. I like when he stretched the stone bit. Like "stooooooooooooooooooooooooone." It's beautiful like that, and the album version doesn't have that. This. I also love when he says "you're in ruins" in the end of the second verse. It's like, his voice trembles and it sounds so... I can't explain it but thopefully, you know what I'm talking about.
Maddy. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 This. I also love when he says "you're in ruins" in the end of the second verse. It's like, his voice trembles and it sounds so... I can't explain it but thopefully, you know what I'm talking about. Omg, yes. And "When you burnt down your house and home" from the same video. <3 Beautiful. Yet, I still voted for Letterbomb.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I knew you'd like it. I cried during the performance. And yes, I'm aware I've told every single member on the forum this. Oh well. You're not as bad as my compulsive mention September wherever possible thing I can't remember what I felt during most of the songs, actually, including 21 Guns. :[
Tubbie Head Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I think 21 Guns is a beautiful song it has an awesome meaning, anti-war and really makes you sit back and think about life. And I loved to hear the new version of the AI cast, it even made the song look awesomer (in my opinion) it actually made me like it even more than before... I also love the way it's done live BUT I think Letterbomb wins. The lyrics are also amazingly well written, It's one of the powerest songs they've ever done! There are so many lines that I adoore! And musicly It's like, perfect.
Hermione Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 LETTERBOMB IS WINNING! I AM SO PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!
Joy of suburbia. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Omg, yes. And "When you burnt down your house and home" from the same video. <3 Beautiful. Yet, I still voted for Letterbomb. Yes! you are on the money!! his falsetto's always make me melt every time... and yet I also voted for Letterbomb.
mechanicalman Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 21 Guns is like the worst thing they've ever recorded.
Tubbie Head Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I also love when he says "you're in ruins" in the end of the second verse. It's like, his voice trembles and it sounds so... Yeah, I really love the way he sings, "you're in ruuiinsss" 21 Guns is like the worst thing they've ever recorded. Hmm.. I don't really think so... I would say Know Your Enemy deserves that title.
Maddy. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Oh well. You're not as bad as my compulsive mention September wherever possible thing I can't remember what I felt during most of the songs, actually, including 21 Guns. :[ Haha, true. I just remember being hyper, overwhelmed and spastic. Jumping up and down constantly and banging my shins against the front chair. D: But it was amazing. I love how everyone went apeshit when When I Come Around started. <3 Yes! you are on the money!! his falsetto's always make me melt every time... and yet I also voted for Letterbomb. Yeah. Me too. I love how he fails them live. Poor Beej. Letterbomb just takes the biscuit. It just has so much more power compared to (the recorded) 21 Guns. Hmm.. I don't really think so... I would say Know Your Enemy deserves that title. Not nearly. Know You Enemy is bloody amazing.
Hermione Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Hmm.. I don't really think so... I would say Know Your Enemy deserves that title. 21 Guns feat. the American Idiot Musical cast deserves that title I love 21 Guns and I adored seeing it live but it's still my least favourite on 21st Century Breakdown. It irks me that the album will be remembered for 21 Guns and not East Jesus Nowhere. I'm extremely pleased with this poll.
Tubbie Head Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Tomorrows choice is going to be easy for me also It'll not be that easy for me... 21 Guns feat. the American Idiot Musical cast deserves that title No way!
Maddy. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I love 21 Guns and I adored seeing it live but it's still my least favourite on 21st Century Breakdown. It irks me that the album will be remembered for 21 Guns and not East Jesus Nowhere. I'm extremely pleased with this poll. Same here. And East Jesus Nowhere really should be re-release with a better video. >: ( No way! Yes way!
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 21 Guns feat. the American Idiot Musical cast deserves that title it's amazing.
Princess Consuela Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I love 21 Guns and I adored seeing it live but it's still my least favourite on 21st Century Breakdown. It irks me that the album will be remembered for 21 Guns and not East Jesus Nowhere. As much as I love 21 guns, I have to agree with you.

Princess Consuela Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 21 Guns feat. the American Idiot Musical cast deserves that title As much as I like you, I have to strongly disagree with you
Maddy. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 whats gonna be the next voting so i can think of what ill choose overnight =) Minority vs. Who Wrote Holden Caulfield.
Metanoia Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Minority vs. Who Wrote Holden Caulfield. thanks maddy im pretty sure about that already
Hermione Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 As much as I like you, I have to strongly disagree with you I just don't like the style of music/singing in musicals. Even Green Day can't make me like it
Joy of suburbia. Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 Hmm.. I don't really think so... I would say Know Your Enemy deserves that title. Hardly. Know Your Enemy is the shizz. Yeah. Me too. I love how he fails them live. Poor Beej. Letterbomb just takes the biscuit. It just has so much more power compared to (the recorded) 21 Guns. Oh, for sure... but he can get away with it cause he's Billie Joe Armstrong and we love him anyway. and Letterbomb has the power over 21 Guns musically and lyrically because he put so much power and anger into that track. One of my favorite tracks on American Idiot. I love 21 Guns and I adored seeing it live but it's still my least favourite on 21st Century Breakdown. It irks me that the album will be remembered for 21 Guns and not East Jesus Nowhere. THIS TIMES A MILLION!! every person I know loves 21 Guns and never heard anything else. And if I mention the album, they say "Oh, thats the CD with 21 Guns?" that really grinds my gears.
Princess Consuela Posted March 1, 2010 Posted March 1, 2010 I just don't like the style of music/singing in musicals. Even Green Day can't make me like it Yeah, I understand that. I love musicals so I love that version too
