Holly Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Jesus of Suburbia wins this for me hands down. I do love J.A.R. but JoS is probably amongst my top four or five Green Day songs.
Eeefaa. Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 A Question I Probably Should Have Asked In The First Thread: Depending on the top 16 songs picked, does that mean that we can guess the best album aswell?
Comedy & Tragedy Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Looks like JOS is gonna get this one. JAR's a brilliant song, but Jesus Of Suburbia is absolutely EPIC!
mechanicalman Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Jesus of Suburbia is the best thing they've ever done. So that.
Nzap Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 "and we'll count them up and the 32 most named Green Day songs enter the tournament" So is this reduced to 16 now? And so why? To save time? Couldn't there then have been two polls at the same time? Or is there another reason. Just curious.
Tubbie Head Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I voted for JOS. I have a feeling the final result at the very end of this whole thing with either be JOS or Good Riddance yeah, and then I wouldn't really know for which one I would vote!!
Hermione Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Out of those two Jesus Of Suburbia no question! Kind of annoying that JOS was so obviously going to win this thing before the voting even started. I love it but it's such a predictable result . I put Homecoming on my list instead because it's better.
Katarina. Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 No doubt about that one, Jesus Of Suburbia!
greendaytone Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Definitely JOS. Both great songs, but no contest.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 John, how do you pick which two songs are put together? the closest number of votes, or at random? (or something else)
greendepent Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 J.A.R has bass, do you hear that in JOS?
Trotsky Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 John, how do you pick which two songs are put together? the closest number of votes, or at random? (or something else) Jesus of Suburbia is the 1 listed, and JAR is the 16th listed. That's how tournaments work. Going to Pasalacqua is #3 and East Jesus Nowhere is number #13. That's why they're next. #2 and #15 will be voted on after the middle vote of the eliminations, because tournaments have two sides. JOS is the #1 and the first vote of the left side, the #2 is the first vote of the right side.
umbjisfhinefum Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 i really do love j.a.r. but up against jesus of suburbia?? absolutely no question
Nikki_Nimrod Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I love J.A.R., but for me Jesus of Suburbia beats it hands down!
Doctor Demon Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I like J.A.R., but Jesus Of Suburbia definitely gets my vote.
music_that_is Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 As everyone else I love JAR but J.O.S is just epic
NaturalxDisaster Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 I looove JAR, but there's any doubt that JOS's my favourite one... Maybe JAR should have competed with another song. I love that song, but it can't compete against Jesus of Suburbia
woahinez Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 sorry J.A.R but... I pick Jesus of Suburbia
