J'net Posted February 25, 2010 Author Posted February 25, 2010 FYI to everyone who follows this thread. I've decided to add a new Song of the Week tomorrow, Friday Feb 26 and leave it in place until the second following Monday (Mar 8). I thought adding a new one this late and then changing it again this coming Monday wouldn't give enough time for its discussion. Just thought some of you might be wondering. So, until tomorrow, we can continue to discuss the excellent song that is currently SotW.
Metanoia Posted February 25, 2010 Posted February 25, 2010 just listening to it right now =) great song =)

Dylan. Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 I didn't bother to see which version you had up but I do love the Fuse Com'd version. Yeah, Jason knew the song. He was being too modest.
xKimx Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 Going To Pasalacqua is probably my favorite Green Day song (if I ever had to pick one). I was so bummed when I found out that they played it at the second show at MSG. I went to the first one =[
Backyard Skulls Posted February 26, 2010 Posted February 26, 2010 This is one of my all time favourite Green Day songs <3 It was the first one I downloaded when I got my ipod. It usually a tie between this and Deadbeat Holiday for most plays, right now GTP has most plays at 138. I just about died when they played this in Glasgow, my cousin was like 'What songs this?' I said it was one of their older songs, I felt special that I was one of the few people who knew the words to this It also makes me think about all the guys I like too x.x

Hanner Posted February 27, 2010 Posted February 27, 2010 And I LOVE seeing new versions of it live too with the extra power from Jason's guitar. So cool to see it all these years later. Such great lyrics too, <i>"I'm in for nasty weather, but I'll take whatever you can give that comes my way"</i> I love this one, Hermione! Thanks for sharing it. It was funny to suddenly just hear Mike singing harmony when Billie's mic stopped working. Great though, the way he just took it in his stride and kept on going. I also loved seeing people in the audience singing along ... all those years ago <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />. i just had to say that i was listening to this song and reading this post, and just as i read those lyrics on here, he started singing them at the same exact time. it was awsome. i know its not song of the week anymore, but in the past week or so this song has grown on me a lot. love love love it. edit: ahh the post went crazy. oh wait im just a dumbass. sorry. fucked that one up.
