XBlade1X Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Thankyou for your kind words Matt, I'll be glad to pass that on to Billie for you. I think I'm going to faint!Thankyou!!!!!!!
boosho Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 To answer a couple more of your questions:SMALL SHOW IN AUSTRALIAUnfortunately, the band are usually given the locations etc for touring by the management. Needless to say, Green Day have some power and if they don't want to play somewhere or want to play somewhere, they won't or they will. I know all three can't wait to get back to Australia; but as far as what sort of show it would be I can't say.FOXBORO HOT TUBS SHOWSThe boys are still in the hype of 21st Century Breakdown, and it was funny last week to see Tre ask to play some FBHT songs in the studio and Billie refused and said he needed to work on the songs from 21st Century Breakdown, telling Tre to 'shut up and get in Green Day mode. We're Green Day now. We can be Hot Tubs by night'. -GDWell if you can just let them know that we would love a small show that be much appreciatedROFL about your second comment. Green Day by Day, FBHT by night.. like superheros.. i love that image, specially if they go into go into phonebooth to rip off their clothes to reveal their supertight superheros outfits..
silviagreen Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 it would be much appreciated if you'd pass to the guys that italian Green Day fans do NOT approve them to play at that festival thanks so muchYes! Tell them that we want a real stadium show, Heineken Jammin Festival sucks. GREEN DAY PLAYING AT HEINEKEN JAMMIN FESTIVALThe organisers of the Heineken Jammin Festival have asked Green Day to play, but Billie has given no word yet. They were talking about it on Thursday and I remember Billie saying that he wasn't sure, even after Mike and Tre were both all for it and said yes.Thank you for your answer! Well I heard that the Heineken Jammin Festival organisers want Green Day as an "exclusive" for the festival, so if they officially confirm the festival show we won't see them in an Italian stadium show. That would be really sad. Keep as updated if there are any other news about an Italian gig. Thank you!!
parinaz Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 You guys are full of questions!THE STATIC AGE AS A SINGLEI can confirm that Billie is about ready to absolutely slaughter their management. He has been asking to release The Static Age as a single for about 2 months with no reply. In between asking, he's had other songs approved. He's not very happy about it. I'm not sure as to the reasoning behind the management's refusal to release the song, but that's where it stands at this point.-GDexcuse me, could you please explain more? I can't get it.
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I think I'm going to faint!Thankyou!!!!!!! I think he ment me?
Guest Green Day Band Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 are we gonna see any more live videos like the last night on earth and murder city onesAll the songs off the album have live videos with them. The wait now is just for the guys to talk to Warner and Reprise and their video production guys and pick a song. I'm sure you definitely haven't seen the last of the live videos.-GD
Juliette Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 excuse me, could you please explain more? I can't get it.Billie wants Static Age as a single, Warner are being jerks as per.All the songs off the album have live videos with them. Smoothed Out Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I love the new direction, it's amazing and really unpredictable. Although I do agree with maybe more faster punk songs (like the old green day ) Thanks for answering all our questions btw, this is great Oh sorry if this has already been asked but is there a chance of maybe The Network making an appearance or doing something new?

refinerysun Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 First of all, could you please pass this to Green Day: thankyouthankyouthankyou Green Day for coming to Finland this year - I know there's a lot of Finnish Green Day fans who have wanted to see the band live for many years. After 15 years, it's about time. Yes, Green Day have changed my life too. I know there's a lot of other people who say that too, but that's just the effect they have on people. I first got into them when American Idiot came out and they've been my favorite band ever since. If I never started listening to them, I'd be a totally different person. I've grown with them, and they've inspired me so much, and I'll never stop being grateful for that.
parinaz Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Billie wants Static Age as a single, Warner are being jerks as per. oh thanks for telling me. so that guy didn't answer to my question :/ that Warner and even the manager are involved at selecting the singles. isn't it weird? I thought it's all by the band
Micky Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 it would be much appreciated if you'd pass to the guys that italian Green Day fans do NOT approve them to play at that festival thanks so muchYes! Tell them that we want a real stadium show, Heineken Jammin Festival sucks.
Liam Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 i have another question (im asking to many):whats up with billies acoustic why does it have his name at the top on that thing, is it a signature or some thing?
matteo263 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I think I'm going to faint!Thankyou!!!!!!! HE was actually refering to me!!

I thought it's all by the band From what he's said the band has some say in it but ultimately it's the management's decision.
Princess Consuela Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Why didn't I visit this thread earlier? First of all, thank you for your patience and answering all those questions! Now when I have the opportunity to find out something I don't know what to ask
Guest Green Day Band Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Oh sorry if this has already been asked but is there a chance of maybe The Network making an appearance or doing something new? The Network is taking a break, as is Foxboro Hot Tubs. Billie told me the band is still in 'Green Day mode', as for them the hype of 21st Century Breakdown is far from over. But I'm sure they'll get into the swing of things before long and start doing more work on The Network.
Tashidge Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 For me, at the moment, Green Day can do no wrong. Of course, there could have been a better choice than LOTAG for a single, but I'm sure the video will blow all our doubts out of the water. They're a punk band and what could be more punk than doing the unexpected? Of course, they're going to meet some criticism, it's normal for any band. Green Day has a huge following that is extremely loyal to the band and always will be until they do something daft. The American Idiot album and the 21st Century Breakdown album have been truly amazing to listen to, both in the bedroom and in the arenas. They're just as amazing as Dookie, Nimrod and Insomniac. The band has grown and evolved from a group of young boys to fully grown men. They can talk about everything from masturbation and how fun it is to get drunk every night to the state of administrive government and how the world is slowly collapsing on itself. That is something I expect from a band, if Green Day stayed a group of boys talking about their cocks, then the band would become stale and unpopular, no one wants that now do they?If anything we need more bands like Green Day, an established band which is so huge that they have the creative licence to do whatever they like. All the side projects like Pinhead Gunpowder, The Network and Foxboro Hot Tubs are genius ideas, not only do they refresh the band and give them a chance to play some fresh music, but it also gives us an opportunity to branch out into other genres of music to enjoy as an audience.
parinaz Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 From what he's said the band has some say in it but ultimately it's the management's decision.oh yeah!? that's what I want confirmation from this man.and could you please tell us what could be the reason of almost 4 years gap between this album and AI?
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 HE was actually refering to me!! Ah guys, I put my name in my post, and mine was after yours, he was refering to me.
