McNavdo Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I won't say Green Day is on these forums, but close enough. -GD[/qI wont say Green Day is on these forums? do you know something we dont? all i would like to see is a new album that isnt a concept album. 1 concept album-Great, 2 concept albums=acceptable after success of the 1st, 3 concept albums=milking it way too much and its time to give upwhy not give us a proper rock album and show the likes of Muse, Coldplay, MCR etc how its done
heartscollide Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I don't have anything to do with Warner so unfortunately I can't answer that. I do know, however, that the guys themselves are furious about it. -GDYay! Because we are too!
Emmalee Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 THIS 1000000x! And please also say thankyou, thankyou, thankyou! This is so touching and its nice that although we're a small country we still matter to the band.Very much so. It always seems like so many bands don't care so much about the smaller, more distant countries like us, we get left out and screwed over so often. We (well, I at least) appreciate it so much that Billie Joe and Green Day made such an effort to get here and play not one but two incredible shows for us.
Guest Green Day Band Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 green day have been on gdc before but i wonder if they have there own account and have actually posted any thingThat's actually now my job. -GD
Rae'n'shine Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 As long as Green Day keep putting their heart and soul into their music, I'll be happy. You can tell when a band is making music because they absolutely love music, or when a band is in it for just money and fame. When I saw Green Day in Vegas it really was one of the best nights of my entire life. They connect with fans more than any other band I know of, and they put on a hell of a show. Without Green Day's music, I really wouldn't be who I am today and their music will always have a special place in my heart.
heartscollide Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Oh! Question: Do you have any idea why Green Day took so long announcing the New Zealand support? Couldn't they find a band they liked or something?
Lyz Z Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 You have the greatest job EVER.Just thought I'd put that out there. And Green Day won't come to Canberra (not that I blame them, but still). Even though it's freaking tiny and barely anyone even knows it's the capital of Australia, I would still love it if they did a show here.If we even have anywhere big enough to hold their epic awesomeness.

Quote time (or it was what he said as best as I can recall) :Mike was talking about how he was looking forward to the NZ shows."Look, we're going, we're playing, we're playing fucking hard, we're going to drill their fucking heads in that we don't fucking lose our fucking fans!" -Billie-GD

Guest Green Day Band Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Oh! Question: Do you have any idea why Green Day took so long announcing the New Zealand support? Couldn't they find a band they liked or something?Because the New Zealand shows were put together a lot quicker than the other shows on the tour, management had actually completely overlooked the support band. It wasn't until Tre was going through the itinerary and pointed out 'hey, where the fuck's our support?' that Billie drilled the tour management and got a support band together. Hope this answers the question -GDYou have the greatest job EVER.Just thought I'd put that out there. And Green Day won't come to Canberra (not that I blame them, but still). I would daresay the guys will play Canberra on their next tour. (Whenever that is).-GD

parinaz Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I haven't been in any of their concert by seeing vids and pics and what ppl have said about their show I understood that they're keeping their shows a bit repetative the usual acts by billie the usual acts while king for a day the usual water sprayer and etc.while there was no Restless heart syndrome song ever (or maybe once)I want them to be more honest with their fans we see videos for their side progect foxboro hot tubs while they're unofficial and there is no announcement from band about it.Restless Heart Syndrome would be as oe of their greatest hits while as i said there are no issue or anything about it we just heard it on the album just this!I don't know who you are exactly but that's a little of what i want from themsorry for poor English

They couldn't honestly have done anymore than what they did for us and even though it was the last night of the tour they seemed so fresh.

I do know, however, that the guys themselves are furious about it. -GDdo they know the may become as a Warner's rag doll? jk they'd better change their label.another thing is RHS must be a single and I would like to know what exactly made you come here and made a survey or something? (I've read your first post)Without going into detail, or reasoning, it was actually Green Day's decision not to heavily publicise the album. And I quote, "let's not make it big. Let's just make it something for our guys. For our people. Let's do this for our family.' -Billie during the publicity meeting.-GD why?

(I've read your first post)To retort to the first comment, the guys have made no plans to switch labels. As far as Restless Heart Syndrome being a single, I've heard no word either way. It's probably the only song on the album that hasn't been discussed at all as far as being a single. And why am I here? I'm here for Green Day and their management to hear what the fans are saying, to fdind out what the fans are happy about, what they're not so happy about; and obviously along the way I get to talk to the fans and relay general comments and questions between the fans and the band. More than anything though, I'm here just to listen and discuss. -GD

They couldn't honestly have done anymore than what they did for us and even though it was the last night of the tour they seemed so fresh.I swear every time I hear Green Day mentioned on the radio station I listen to, it goes along with some comment about how great they were live. It makes me smile. And yes, I was so impressed and grateful how alive and excited they were when they performed, in contrast to the majority of bands that play here at the end of their tours, and almost seem to put in less effort because they just want to finish and go home.

GreenDaymaniac2000 Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 sorry to keep asking about the NZ shows but did we not get the screen stuff and effects due to Billie being sick? or was it due to the size of Vector or the whole last minute planing thing?I still REALLY liked the backrounds at our show tho! esp. the Kerpluk looking Green Day one.

What he tells me is that it was simply the venue. Now I wasn't there or know about what it looks like or anything like that, in fact NZ was the only place I didn't go to with them. I'm guessing the venue was a little small? Or if not, I would just say there was an issue with the lighting/sound. I can't confirm that but I am content that it's probably the reason.-GDand you can't tell us why they don't wanna discuss about one of their songs from album? it's weird why have they made a song while haven't played it live! I'm not saying they don't want to discuss it, I'm simply saying that it HASN'T been discussed as yet.
