St. Banana Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 They don't see you as intense fans, they see you as loyal fans. Like earlier when I showed Billie some of the huge posts you guys had put up, he read them and said 'these guys are fucking great'. -GDOmg that made my night..as well as the chance of them coming back to aus.*sigh*
The Disappearing Boy Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 'these guys are fucking great'. -GDthat would also be a suitable way to describe green day

valentinesandcigs Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Has he answered questions about the North American tour yet? I don't have the patience to look back in the thread
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Wait, Billie has been reading these today?...I tried to think of something funny to say, and failed due to OMG-ness.

St. Banana Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 In a recent interview Billie said something along the lines of: although they dont know when another records going to happen..in the next few years things are going to start getting pretty serious.Do you see this as highly likely? A new album in 2-3 years?
greendaytone Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 To answer your question, i'm happy with the direction Green Day have taken. For me, even though a lot of people say it's a big change, i still hear the same Green Day in everything they do, it's not like they've completely changed their style like some bands try to do. I think it's great that they are so ambitious, and we see the benefit of it in the great music and performances they put on.If i could ask a question, do you know if the band have ever thought about performing shows dedicated to each of their albums? I know a few bands have done this, and it's something i'd like to see Green Day try one day. I could see them going for something like that, although perhaps a bit later on in their career still.
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 Thats a fantastic question/idea Greendaytone, I once said something similar to a few people I met at one of the Brissy shows. One day they should consider it.
Princess Consuela Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 If i could ask a question, do you know if the band have ever thought about performing shows dedicated to each of their albums? I know a few bands have done this, and it's something i'd like to see Green Day try one day. I could see them going for something like that, although perhaps a bit later on in their career still. That would be sooooooo amazing. Or something like unplugged show.

netty Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I have to ask this, how do we know you are actually legitimate?
The Disappearing Boy Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 i can't see green day doing album-dedicated shows. not at the moment anyway. i think for now, they wanna concentrate on 21st CB

Princess Consuela Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I have to ask this, how do we know you are actually legitimate?Hahaha good question.
parinaz Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 It's many pages back, but I'm very intrigued by Billie's sudden defensive reaction to Viva La Gloria you said he had after he pulled it off the set list.I assume he's finally gotten over it since he played it about four times in a row in Japan. Thank God because both of those Gloria songs are tied for mt favorite of the album.I wonder what his initial beef with it was...do you know why he is defensive about it?
Liam Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 are we gonna be able to buy billies signature acoustic or is that some thing for himself
Greenday_Aussie Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 His guitar is a custom made one, Dave Grohl and a few others have one the same, Gibson wont release it. Plus, it would be thousands of dollars.
Liam Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I have to ask this, how do we know you are actually legitimate?thats what i was asking at first as well but i dont know so im just gonna go ahead and say its legit
Guest Green Day Band Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 when? he was at pinhead show.Well in the trucks we have these laptops. And on some more questions.NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATESThey are in progress. I can confirm that, but not much else. I'm sure they're not too far off.A 'PRETTY SERIOUS' ALBUMBillie has definitely been pressing the other guys about writing more serious, even deeper music. Mike is comfortable with it, but Tre seems a bit 'not yet' about it. They've been heard in the studio playing unheard stuff that does sound a lot slower, darker and probably more serious. I give it just over 2 years until a new album. That's my personal opinion.ALBUM-SHOWSI know for a fact that the band's management wants them to start doing shows dedicated to specific albums, and Billie has been all for it, however he said it won't be happening 'until near the end'. So it may be a bit of a wait.-GD
netty Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 I`ve asked to have this officially confirmed but I doubt I`ll get an answer through too quickly with certain people having been out last night. lol so we`ll have to see. sorry if our friend finds my suspicion insulting but I do find this very strange.

Guest Green Day Band Posted February 13, 2010 Posted February 13, 2010 To answer comments about my legitimacy, I'm surrounded by comments about this everytime I'm online. Basically, I'm not here to prove a point, I'm here to learn about what you guys like about Green Day. I know this thread has turned more into a question thread, but at the end of the day I'm not here to talk or prove myself, I'm just here to find out what you guys are liking or not liking so I can relay it to the band and their management. I won't get into arguments or try to prove myself. If you believe I'm not being genuine, then simply don't ask me questions or reply to my questions. I'm NOT Green Day, and I don't just 'hang out' with them, I just work with them and Reprise as an online media representative.Thankyou to the people that realise I'm not talking myself up or trying to prove myself and that I'm just basically a messenger between the band and the fans. Thanks -GD
