lizziebix Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Wake me up when september ends; today it's one year ago that my dad passed away So sorry, but I'm with you on this selection. It'll be 5 years since my brother died next Thursday (September 1st). It will be a long month I've afraid.
LauraG Posted August 27, 2011 Posted August 27, 2011 Wake me up when september ends; today it's one year ago that my dad passed away Sorry to hear that For exactly the same reason, I can't listen to that song without getting emotional. It hits me every time.
classof12 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Last of the american girls, 'cause it's about fighting for what you believe in, don't give up, don't cooperate, just be yourself
~ Walking Contradiction Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Having a blast. "Do you ever think back to another time? Does it bring you so down that you thought you lost your mind?" Some memories just don't go away.
Juicebox Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 She. because I realized that I'm starting to be someone i'm not & what other people want me to be, instead of myself.
jamesobxfan2296 Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I can relate to Longview alot when I'm bored and sitting around the house. I was recently relating to Basket Case.
Bam-Itz-GreenDay Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 So sorry, but I'm with you on this selection. It'll be 5 years since my brother died next Thursday (September 1st). It will be a long month I've afraid. Thats my birthday... I'm sorry <3 The song i am relating to is Drama Queen. My dad always calls me his princess and his lil' rocker. So its kinda cute because its like its from my dads perspective saying that i'm growing up
lizziebix Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 Thats my birthday... I'm sorry <3 Thanks! And happy early birthday! Have some extra chocolate in honor of my brother (that's what we do)!
Artificial Idiot Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 I can relate to Stuck With Me because I feel buried in a hole of apathy, anger and sadness. I think someone is trying to help me so they are stuck with me. Does that make any sense??
To Reminisce Is To Die Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 "Whatsername", just went through a break-up. My friend did this first, and I thought it was an odd way to handle things yet really different and great. So, when she dumped me, I played the song over and over until I went to bed (which equaled about an hour or 2 of Whatsername)
Four. Posted August 28, 2011 Posted August 28, 2011 409 in Your Coffeemaker. I'm pretty sure you can all guess why.
Poprocks_and_Coke Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 So sorry, but I'm with you on this selection. It'll be 5 years since my brother died next Thursday (September 1st). It will be a long month I've afraid. I´m so sorry for you two. But it´s the same here. The friend of my grandma, who lived with her and my grandpa together died recently.
San Miguel Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 I listened to Whatshername a lot when i split with my ex earlier this year, then eventually i started to listen to things like FOD when i realised i was better off without her! still Whatshername is one of my favourite songs of all time. the song i most relate to right now is Reject. sorry to hear about your losses people - whilst i'm sure it makes those songs hard to listen to in some ways it's a great way of remembering them...
DropkickGina Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 When I graduated, I listened to Waiting a lot. I consider that to be my graduating song. Right now I think I relate most to Castaway because I'm at a point in my life where there are a lot of changes happening. My friends are leaving and I'm leaving, among other things.
xLive_Without_Warningx Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 right, now..i think Hold On. and christie road.
Brigister Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 The Judge's Daughter, no doubt about it. :/ Or, well, Hold On is such a good song for me at them moment.
Disapperingirl Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 In these last days...Whatsername I'm also trying to play the musical version of this song with the piano, so...
Brigister Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 Today I feel like I totally relate to The Judge's Daughter, so that's my song of the day
miragots Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 1. Jesus of Suburbia because I live in a shithole town and I can't leave..I feel trapped and will do anything to get out. And 2. 16 because all these responsibilities were recently dumped on me at the same time and i am struggling with the fact that getting older is coming so fast. :/
