Angie-Marie Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Wow, 16 years already. This album will always hold a special place with me since it was the first CD I ever bought and that's the era when I became a Green Day fan. It's such a classic album, I'll never get tired of it.
gone2pasalacqua Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 speaking of which does anyone have the picture of the original back of the cd, I think it had elmo on it?
Eeefaa. Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 8 months younger than me... aw... but they went in to record it on my bday like, actual day-f-my-birth! ( i tink... near it anyway )
Isabel Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 Why did I always think that this came out on Feb 2nd?? LOVE this album, it's what got me into Green Day. Longview was the song that made it for me. I remember sitting there back in '01 going "Oh my god, why am I only listening to this band now??!" If I were to rate the songs in order of preference, it'd go:Longview/Sassafras Roots ChumpEmenius SleepusIn The EndF.O.DPulling TeethBurnoutWelcome To ParadiseHaving A BlastComing CleanBasket CaseSheWhen I Come Around

depardu42 Posted February 1, 2010 Posted February 1, 2010 I was only 4 years old when Dookie was released, but I still remember my older brother having a copy of it.I think it took a few years for me to get it, but I definitely enjoyed it once I had a full grasp on what they were talking about. It's timeless.Happy Birthday, Dookie!

fashionvictim86 Posted February 2, 2010 Posted February 2, 2010 It makes me sad that my ORIGINAL copy of Dookie (the one I bought that fateful day in 1994) shattered to pieces a few years ago from years of play. I cried. I'll never forget that day. But I have the first Green Day shirt I ever bought yet (it has the Dookie cover).Check out my join date.
