I also like the piano bit that they put in "21 Guns". I really wish that was on the album, that song sounds even better live.

I LOVE THAT SO MUCH ITS SO BEAUTIFUL

Oh I'm in love with that. At the gig I burst into tears at that bit  can't wait to hear it again :D

Edit-When they do JOS live Billie changes, "I don't feel any shame, I won't apologize..." That bit to-

"We don't feel any shame, We won't apologize..."

I love it when he does that because then it becomes plural to the whole Green Day community and fan base. And to those fans who have been put down for being who they are. :D

billie is always changing lyrics but thats what we love about him :P whether he gets bored with it or to make a joke iss all good :D

I've noticed that they have taken out the "When its time to live and let die" part of 21 Guns and instead Billie Just sings the "one - 21 guns" part over the piano getting the crowd to sing it back. Pretty drastic change, but one that works really well in my opinion. But yeah they do change things up a little, and I'm glad for that, because who wants to hear a band that sound like they do on record. You might as well just sit in your room with your eyes closed with the cd on full blast.

They also tend to play faster than on record too, especially the new songs. The Static Age and American Eulogy are examples of this.

I noticed that in this pic:

The lyric is a little different, instead of "I'm in the class of '13 in the era of dissent" it says something about 'a fugitive son'.

^That's how it is in the lyrics booklet in the album too, though I think there's quite a few things in that which are different.

I like Brain Stew live when he sings the line "Dried up and bulging out my skull" different.

Oh god I love that bit.

I also like the piano bit that they put in "21 Guns". I really wish that was on the album, that song sounds even better live.

This too, it's so beautiful  And then he sings the next bit with just the piano gaahhh. And during the solo when he does the "ooooh" bit.

Omg really? I've never heard him sing that line.

Yeah he did it loads around Dookie time. He does it in the last chorus here

So random

Also, "I HATE you's not enough, I'm lost for words" :D

I like how he twists and plays around with the words to the songs. It's just cool. Even with the music, like the saxophone during Static Age. It's just cool. You're getting something different than what's on the album. I just love how they do things like that.

Yes! It's so pretty and better than the album version.

Oh I just remembered my favourite! At the Foxies show in Blood Sex And Booze, "*burp!* Ohhhh, it feels so FUCKING good" :eyebrows:

Proof?

I would tell you, but you wouldn't believe me.

at the show in Vienna he didn't sang the third verse of 21 Guns .. he just sang one, twenty one guns over and over ...

My absolute favourite thing is how Billie used to sometimes sing "How now brown cow" in place of the line "When I come around"
They talked about that on page 1.

does anyone else think that in letterbomb he sings "it's not LONG before it's too late" instead of "it's not OVER before it's too late" like it says in the lyrics booklet? it sounds like he sings it like this on the album version too. just in the live versions it's a little clearer.

I thought it was really cool hearing the old version of When I Come Around and the 21st Century Breakdown demo. They're quiet different than the album versions.

And I also love how they make little changes in the songs (like 21 Guns) when playing them live. They're not just playing the songs, but they make something more out of it.

In Jesus of Suburbia, instead of singing "Am I retarded or am I just overjoyed", he sings unemployed. But I think everyone already knew that lol.

I like it when they change things up. It's unexpected and fun of them to do that. :)

such as from Before the Lobotomy:

"Sign my love a lost memory, from the end of the century"

used to be

"charlitans and lost memories, like the end of the century"

and dont even get me started on the demo lyrics, which i think would have fit much better with the album.

how do you know that?

On The Viva La Gloria (Little Girl) Lyrics site where they show lyrics, The lyrics are different from the Booklet

in 21stCB as shown in the yellow area

e7mbcy.jpg

It says: "Runaway To your lost Tranquility and find your face in the gutter

Your a stray for the Dregs of humanity

There is no place like home when you got no place to go"

Old version of When I Come Around? I don't think I've heard (of) that. Do you have a link or something? :)

^ Oh I heard that version once! It used to be called Better Not Come Around but I can't remember where I heard it.

I would also love a link to it if there is one :)

^ ugh why cant i find it on youtube? i swear it used to be on there i bet you this is WMGs fault

how do you know that?

about the demo or the Lobotomy lyrics?

if you're talking about the lyrics, it was back in like early 2009 they released some lyrics in magizines and that was one of the lines.

21st century breakdown live, instead of fading down in 'from heroes and cons', he goes 'from heroes and co-hoooons' and it goes high
