Green Day Nominated For A Meteor Ireland Award

I guess FATM just exploded in 2009/2010 though and were massive all of a sudden.

The only reason I wanted Green Day to win was because there'd be a little bit of Irish appreciation given to them

A conversation I had with this girl in college the other day

Laura: "Ahahaha Green Day lost! And Westlife won in their category for the 10th year in a row!!"

Me: "Er, who was Westlife's competition?"

Laura: "It doesn't matter, at least they won!"

Me: "Green Day's category wasn't even open for voting. And relax, it wasn't the Grammys. The Meteor Awards hardly constitutes for any sort of major prestige."

Laura: "Yeah it does!"

Me: "Winning a grammy is far better though."

Laura: "No it's not."

Me: "This conversation is over."

I knew they wouldn't win and heard they hadn't won before it was broadcast so wasn't going to watch but ended up watching about 15 minutes of it randomly. Was so awful...Well it was to be expected.

Anyways what I came in here to say is that Florence actually covered some songs off Nimrod before and released them as an EP under the name Team Perfect along with the guy from LightSpeed Champion... Scattered:

and apparently she used to busk playing Green Day covers or something. Scattered is the only song readily available. The rest used to be on the guys site to d/l but the links don't work anymore and I'm not bothered to find them

Anyways, just some useless info everyone probably already knows.

I don't really like her. And the hype annoys me alot.

I really like their version. It's so different.
