They are the most amazing live band I have ever seen and they always push themselves to be better, and evolve as the years pass, something not many other bands strive to do these days. They also seem like genuine, down to earth guys with no rockstar attitudes and are not affraid to pull out a fun side project now and then (FBHT, The Network). They have got to be the only band in existence who I could really feel so strongly about.

Bubbles. Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 Well I started listening to them eight years ago, at the time I liked them because it was something different to me. As I got older I appeciated them more and more, the love just grew. They taught me what it is to be an individual. It's like I started living when I started listening to Green Day, they made me a stronger/better person. Plus I feel I can relate to a lot of their songs. It's just ... Wow. They're my world. I feel they've got me through so much, I don't think I'd be here today with out them, to be honest. I adore everything about them and their music.

Billie Joe has the most amazing voice i've ever heard, Mike is a great bassist and Tré is just an epic drummer! I think most people can relate to their lyrics, i mean, Billie is such an amazing songwriter! He sure knows how to put words on things. They've also helped me through tough times, like even in the worst depressions, Green Day have always kind of been there for me. This is super cliché, but i have no idea what i should have done without them! They've become a part of me, somehow. And the guys themselves are pretty down-to-earth, the best live band ever, have a great sense of humor and they play music because it's their lives, their passion, not because they want a few lines in Perez Hilton's blog or make enough money to buy their own, fancy Neverland II.

They write interesting and different songs, they write lyrics that mean something, they work hard, and they're such genuinly nice guys who seem to want to do everything they can to please their fans.It's hard not to love them.

They also have great songs and lyrics. They make a great live show............They are jst so fucking amazing!!

I changed favourite bands/singers every week.But ever since I first heard Green Day, it has surprised me that no one else can really match them, in my opinion. People can bash them for their newest music, or their music overall, but I love everything they do.They're the only band I've really "fallen in love with". There's something about them that I can't find anywhere else. It's so difficult to describe. I guess they're the only band that makes me feel something, whatever that may be. Other bands can make good music that I like, but somehow it's not the same. I can never have the same feelings for them, as I have for Green Day. To me it's not just a band that I love, it's 3 musicians that I admire so much. It's 3 guys that I adore in so many different ways. It's so much more than just the songs on my playlist, or posters on my walls. In a very weird way they're a big part of me. And this might sound a little freaky, but one way I can describe it is like, say, having 3 kids. I may adore kids in general, but they're my kids. No one can replace them. Hopefully that didn't seem completely insane. After being a fan for a couple of years it's just like... it's just me, it's who I am. Green Day's just the most obvious, and natural part of me.And then seeing them live... Being in love with Billie's voice, lyrics, the music - just all three of them for all different reasons. For being who they are, and for what they do.Yeah, sorry about the rant. There are just too many unexplainable reasons.

Apart from that, they really don't care what other people say, a lot of people make stupid opinions about their music, and they DON'T KNOW ANYTHING.Personally, I love Green Day because they made me love music as the air that I breathe; I couldn't lieve one day without listening to a song or playing my guitar. Because of them I know awesome bands like the Ramones, Sex Pistols, and a lot of bands that I really like... I owe them a lot, maybe they haven't got the best guitar player, or drummer or whatever, but Billie, Mike and Tré are the best for me i love the songs, the lyrics, all the things that they do, I simply love everything about them... They became a part of me, got under my skin, became one of the few things that I could completely rely on to make me happy. Now, some time later, when I am in a different part of my life, a completely different person (because mostly of getting older, and a few other things as well) they still are there, making me happy.Billie is an extremely talented song writer and his abilities have allowed the band to evolve in a way that very few other bands have. When you listen to Green Day you hear them grow up. They start as teenage boys with girl issues and lack of motivation, to men- fathers, husbands, men who care about the world and want whats best for their family. How can you not admire that?Their lyrics hit me on a very powerful level and I adore them.
