HAHAHA"I'd be like Aww but I like being snarky and you know I don't mean it silly. Yeah I know I would be like why you all making fun of me for being on stage. but least we would have eachother to console one another.

He was close to calling this one guy up, but I guess he asked "What song is it again?" and Billie let out a laugh. Billie replied something to the effect of "What a stupid thing to say you dumb fucker!"

Sure I bet people say nasty things about me all the time, but I don't care because they don't know what it's like up there and unless they've done it themselves, they can't say anything.

The thing is no matter how bad some of these people are they had the guts to go on stage and sing and have fun so props for that! Also like Isabel said-these people obviously can't hear when they're on stage and that's why they have to shout! I'm sure I'd end up sounding terrible-so I'd just never admit to people it was me!! Also that vid where the girl is hugging Billie and lifts him up-I think it's his doing because he looks like he kinda climbs onto her with the intention of her lifting him up! Lucky girl...I mean how many people can say they've had Billie on top of them?! :wink: :whistling:

And hardly fair to mock poor singing (speaking as one who is v. musically challenged) especially as like isabel says, without magic in-ear monitors like Billie has, you're just yelling into the unknown.

When the guy got up he started running all over the stage and trying to dance all crazy, it was quite sad. When he did try to sing you could barely hear what he was saying and he was breathing real hard because he was running all around. When Billie decided to pull up another guy to sing all he said to the guy was (in a very sarcastic, whatever type of voice) "Yeah, okay, you were great, get off my stage!!!!!" Then when he was back in the crowd Billie said, "Well he was probably the best dancer I've seen yet!"I have a video I recorded of it but I'm too lazy to go and find it at the moment....

Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 When Billie was looking for people to play JOS in Ottawa, he walked up the catwalk and was asking people, and finally pointed to a guy on the side and asked "You know how to play it?" and this kid went nuts and Billie was like "Really? What key is it in?" and I guess the guy didn't know because Billie started to laugh and said something along the lines of 'you idiot' and moved on to the next kid, who eventually got pulled up.How upsetting would it be to get THAT close to getting pulled up on stage...only to have it thrown back in your face by the main man himself

There are many GDCers in those videos, so be careful what you say. Do you really want someone to feel bad because they "can't sing" or because they act weird when they're nervous? I mean, I can't sing but I'd definitely lie if it got me onstage with them, and I'm pretty sure that each and every one of you would do that too.

He said that because he didn't know what key it was in, Billie wouldn't pick him. But I don't think it was at one of the Canadian shows. God that'd suck if you were that close to getting picked :/

I was in tears laughing. The girl was an ok singer, but her stage dive was "the worst stage dive ever" in the words of BJA. And it really was haha.
bass boy Posted January 6, 2010 Posted January 6, 2010 when i went to the Hamilton concert, Billie watched some guy that was far back get to the front and when he did, Billie asked if he knew how to play the song, and turns out he didnt so they made him do a huge stage dive. he was crown surfing for all of JOS.

We had 2 singers, first a guy that Carling and I met while we were in the pit (and later we helped get him up on that stage ) and then this complete IDIOT girl haha...oh man...I was watching BJ the whole time and within the first second of her singing, you HAVE to see his \'WHAT. THE. ACTUAL. FUCK.\' face. She didn\'t know the lyrics at all, and really COULD. NOT. sing....arrrrgh I cringe and die laughing every time I watch it!She did a HILARIOUSLY horrible job. Beej even tried to get the crowd to sing along so she wouldn\'t sound as bad She comes on at 4:41 in the video*WATCHER BEWARE, YOUR EARS MAY BLEED*LOL
