Green Day to Perform at the Grammys

I was really hoping for something different, actually..

That, and worries about everyone's voices not fitting together, those are my two concerns. But I'm still excited.

And I am one of those who really don't like the "21 Guns" version with the AI cast. So sugary, so much sappiness. I just know that it's gonna make me cringe. :/

I love everybody here, but I think everyone should support Green Day a little more...no matter what they do. IT'S GREEN DAY we are talking about here........I'm sure they'll make their performace with the AI cast amazing. It's not like they're just going to throw something together in 5 minutes and then do it live. We're talking about Green Day and professional people who have been involved with Broadway for a long time. Even if you don't like 21 Guns...you should still be happy that Green Day is even going to perform at the Grammy's. And I'm not getting at anybody or anything, it's just my opinion.

I like the AI cast versoin of 21 Guns but c'mon, it's the Grammys. You could have shown the world what other great songs are on that album, you could have kicked some other performers' asses with an amazing show, you could have turned a boring night into an awesome night with something like 21st CB or EJN, but 21 Guns? Well, I guess we can't change it...

I just hope that they all will do well and that people won't be too...shocked? Meh...

I think this will be great.

Yes it would be good to see them perform a rarely heard track but that's not going to happen. This is the Grammy's. Think of the audience. Doing this will show everone watching what can be done with a Green Day song. A different treatment, a different sound. Its a wonderful opportunity to advertise the AI musical and lets everyone see Green Day in a different context. Remember Green Day themselves are immensly proud of what they've acheived with this as I am. They will love performing with the cast and it will show. Looking forward to seeing this and the reaction to it.
