rumor is the cast of AMERICAN IDIOT is in LA this week working with the band on a sound track or new Video .. Nothing firm -- just a light buzz that LA is the home for the cast this week...

Since it's been posted in a lot of places and is the subject of quite a few FB statuses already... Supposedly Gerard (Ensemble) confirmed it last night at the RSO gig. He said they're going to LA and will be "behind Green Day" at the Grammys. I haven't heard anything about a video or new song, but the people he talked to wouldn't have thought to ask about that anyway. Who knows....

Again, this is just based on a few people's pre/post-gig chats with the guy. Take it for what you will.

Edit: It's too early to spell. :wink:

Now I'm really getting excited for Sunday night! :D

I guess I'm gonna be up all night watching it live... School on monday morning will be hell, but it'll be worth it :lol:

Same here... I still remember how excited I was about the Grammys last year, because they had announced that surprise before. :lol: I couldn't stay up because of school though, but I don't have school on Monday next week. Perfect. :happy:

It would have been A LOT more shocking if it wasn't announced that they were going to be there and then we see them walk up on stage and the announcer says "currently working on their new album, 21st Century Breakdown, here is Green Day."

It probably means that they will cut out a lot of the bullshit and just show the performances and the main awards. :) You'll get in two hours, what we'll have to suffer thru for almost twice as much time, lol.

Not to add to the speculation, but John Gallagher, jr., just tweeted that his show this week at Rockwood here in NYC will be moved to February. Which makes me think he's going to LA for the Grammys... but, that's pure speculation, kids.

John told me on Friday that he's out in LA this week for re-shoots for a movie he filmed last summer, but that doesn't mean that he's out there purely for the re-shoots. Several cast members... Gerard, Brian, Andrew, Theo, off the top of my head... have mentioned LA/California in their Facebook statuses lately and another reliable source said that it is the Grammy's... so we'll see. :D

Yep. It's purely speculation at this stage, except for Gerard telling a bunch of girls last night that the cast would be "behind" Green Day at the Grammys. So, we'll see. RUMOR MILL! Haha...

I REALLY hope they don't perform with the musical cast. I don't think they will. I have a feeling there going to perform 21 Guns. I think that's what there nominated for anyway. It would be great if they did East Jesus Nowhere. I also hope they make a big announcement again like they did last year. I want tour dates! I've been thinking of the shows I'm going to in the future but then I think wait no dates have been announced yet.
