I will continue to believe that Mike can spell properly and has excellent grammatical skills until the day he tweets. Then we will know.

At least Tre isn't a exclamation point/question mark whore.

But poor Billie  He was born when blackberry and interwebz weren't invented yet... oh well I've seen monkeys texting so.. he has no excuses, the grammar bitch

Billie Joe needs grammar check.

Every tweet he's made has had something wrong with it.

But that's why they're so great. It makes me lol. I love that he's still doing it.

I saw this letter he wrote from a few years back, he spelled "a lot" as one word. He also missed a few commas. I was disappointed.

Happy birthday to Alan and 39/Smooth!

although this may not be their most polished work, it definately showed their potential. you can see why laurie livermore and the others saw something in them.

DON'T CRY.

BUT I THOUGHT MIKE WAS PERFECT. WHAT NOW?

I just really hate it when people spell it as one word. Along with the your/you're and there/their/they're confusion. WTF MIKE?

Oh yes! I've just saw him!

Happy birthday Alan, & 39/Smooth!

Well I really like this album, it brings me nice memories ;)

Happy 20th anniversary 39/smooth and happy birthday Alan A. :D

I heard that the Smooth came about from Mike using the word alot. It's probably not true, but then again, it's from the same source that said they threw in the 39 because Alan turned 39 that year

ahah..so, why they didn't put in the title a: "Y'KNOW" !!

anyway, if the "39" it's really referred to Alan then this is one of the cutest thing I ever heard

Happy birthday to Alan and to one of my most loved album !!

It's so strange knowing than this album is older than I am.

Happy 20th, ermm, Anniversary 39/Smooth?

It's so sweet of Billie to put on a reference to his brother on an album.

Though I don't know how pleased Alan would have been, being reminded how much older he is to his little brother.

:lol:this would been the best title for an album in the music history

According to Billie Joe on New Year's Day 2004, they started recording 39/Smooth on December 29th and Alan was like "Y'know, it's my birthday and I'm 39. You guys should call the record 39." And Billie Joe was like "Oh yeah, cool!....um, whatever." And then they were driving around in their Volkswagen bus when Mike said that he wanted to call the album "Smooth" [and apparently that was because Mike always had a smooth, shitty grin on his face..and they smoked lots of weed, or something ] And then John said "We should call the album 39 / Smooth!"

And that's how it happened :)

The name Slappy came about from a pot influence and they thought it was just a funny word. [Their original bass player Sean Hughes's dog is on the cover of the EP]

And the name 1,000 Hours apparently came from someone's collection of some sort that Billie was looking through. He said the name just stuck...and it ended up being the "cheesiest song" he ever wrote

I didn't know that (:

Happy birthday 39/Smooth and Alan :D
