I'll be there by Michael Jackson.

And they sang Paraniod by Black Sabbath in the Birmingham show, I thought that was good, and Highway to Hell.

I don't think there's a cover they've done that I haven't liked.

I guess my favourite would have to be either I Fought The Law [The Clash], I Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely [Huker Du] or Another State of Mind [social Distortion].

The Queen fan in me loves We Are The Champions.

It seems that Green Day are aware of the songs which are most suited for them which is why these covers are just so amazing.

I like Johnny B. Good & Shout. :) Personally, I didn't really like their 'Let's Go Crazy' cover.

I'm sure Drama Queen isn't a cover. Since Google is your friend when it comes to these things, I googled it - Green Day are the only thing that came up. The song was going to be released on 21st Century Breakdown but was cut from the record as was Tell Me When It's Time (To Say I Love You), and Hearts Collide.

One of the best would have to be My Generation as of Saturday

Here.

And yeah, Drama Queen, not a cover.

He did Hey Jude at my show.

My mum went bonkers when he started singing it.

Ever Fallen In Love (with Someone You Shouldn't've), i love that song anyway and when they sung it during shout on the 31st oct, i was fucking delirous! Love it. I guess after that the best cover has to be I fought the law.

Yep.

Green Day recorded this song originally

for the American Idiot album. When they

decided not to keep it for the album, they

instead contributed the song to the

"Rock Against Bush" vol. 2 compilation

made by Fat Wreck Records.

(I only just found that out, though, ngl)

Tired of Waiting for You is such a good cover! and I Don't Wanna Know If You Are Lonely is one of my favorites, too.

Tired of Waiting is my very favorite, too. It helps that for years I've found myself singing that song (even before I knew Green Day covered it) waiting for my kids to be ready to go wherever we're going. But I love Green Day's cover of it.

I also like Working Class Hero.

Haven't we done this thread before? (I'm mostly a lurker here...)
