RobyRoom Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 I love the album, Misery is my fav song off it and the line "Live without warning" is always stucked into my head, and the lines to Minority too. That album defines my life style, without a doubt
Tiffx Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Warning is such a good album. I don't understand how people can not like it. and Waiting is one of my favourite Green Day songs ever. They should play it live IMO.
Guest Hayley Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Oh yes warning is a really underrated album. I love warning in fact I consider it probably one of their best albums.
dumbell2424 Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 Underrated? Hardly. Maybe if we're saying underrated by fans...because the critics loved it.
poisonoak Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 good the guys at rolling stone are sensible, first the grammy now this good job. but i still think 21cb is pretty underrated compared to ai...
Iminyourcoffeemaker Posted December 16, 2009 Author Posted December 16, 2009 Warning is better than Nimrod and Dookie.Your high. Lol
Metanoia Posted December 16, 2009 Posted December 16, 2009 wow yeah !! warning really IS underrated !!!!!!! seriously !!!
Mar Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Warning is a great album. Great listen start to finish. Its a pitty the only song that makes it to the set list is MinoritySometimes Macys Day Parade too, But I'd love waiting, castaway and blood sex and Booze to make the set list more oftenWhile I would die to see a Tubbies show, the main reason I'd want to go is to hear them perform Blood, Sex and Booze!
Brian Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I'm glad they recognize Warning. And Black Holes and Revelations.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Woo that's nice, to see get it some recognition
Clayish Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Your high. LolNimrod is their worst album, and Warning has no bad songs, when Dookie has 2 bad songs.
Alan86 Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 While I would die to see a Tubbies show, the main reason I'd want to go is to hear them perform Blood, Sex and Booze!Yeah that song is brilliant
alaniluau Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Warning is my fave non-concept album by GD. It is WAY underrated and I have no idea why.
Greenday_Aussie Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Underrated? Hardly. Maybe if we're saying underrated by fans...because the critics loved it.Wrong way round. Most critics hated it. But they are always putting bands down for not trying something new, Green Day does...and got shot down for it.Every fan I talked to at the Brissy shows loves Warning, I didnt realise so many people would!
E!!i Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Wrong way round. Most critics hated it. Clayish Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Wrong way round. Most critics hated it. But they are always putting bands down for not trying something new, Green Day does...and got shot down for it.Every fan I talked to at the Brissy shows loves Warning, I didnt realise so many people would!Your wrong.MOST critics loved it, like Allmusic and Rollingstone, while the hardcore Green Day fans loved it.The regular mainstream listeners didn't like the album at all except Minority.
1000SlappyHours Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Your wrong.MOST critics loved it, like Allmusic and Rollingstone, while the hardcore Green Day fans loved it.The regular mainstream listeners didn't like the album at all except Minority.Yea ur mostly right. Most critics gave it glowing reviews but a lot critics bashed it for being just a bunch of pop songs, kinda stupid in a way since Warning was just a more melodic, more mature version of the punk pop from Dookie.
!Viva La Analee! Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 I'm so glad this album got some recognization!I love every song on this album.Especially Macy's Day Parade, Blood, Sex, and Booze, and Hold On.
dolce Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 I'm so glad Warning was recognized - it is SORELY underrated. Much like 21CB, Warning experimented with a lot of various sounds, which I personally love, but I can see why a lot of listeners wouldn't be as keen on this album as some of their other albums, I guess. I think it is one of their best - IMO, the only one better is 21CB, making Warning my second favorite Green Day album.
Iminyourcoffeemaker Posted December 18, 2009 Author Posted December 18, 2009 Nimrod is their worst album, and Warning has no bad songs, when Dookie has 2 bad songs.Dude what song on either of those albums could be bad?Nimrod is the breakthrough of maturity from Green Day and what started what we hear now.
Nzap Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Dude what song on either of those albums could be bad?Nimrod is the breakthrough of maturity from Green Day and what started what we hear now.Bad songs from nimrod. where do I start...Just kidding, but there are some that at least I'm not fond of, as well in Dookie. I have to admit that I have the same opinion as C-lee. Warning is IMHO better than both Dookie and Nimrod. I mean do I have to tell what is so good in Warning and why it beats those two others? Okay let's say that it hasn't got a weak song, unlike nimrod ( 4songs) and Dookie (2 songs). (just to clarify, the "weak" songs are still good, not just awesome). I also like the songs more on Warning, though I have to admit Prosthetic Head, Hitchin' a Ride and Chump are very very good. But back to topic, yes Warning didn't sell very well and it was soon forgotten by the media and the mainstream. The album is awesome and underrated by people who aren't very into Green Day.
Clayish Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Dude what song on either of those albums could be bad?Nimrod is the breakthrough of maturity from Green Day and what started what we hear now.Dookie: In The EndNimrod: Worry Rock, Jinx, Take Back, and Reject is on the edge.
1000SlappyHours Posted December 18, 2009 Posted December 18, 2009 Dookie: In The EndNimrod: Worry Rock, Jinx, Take Back, and Reject is on the edge.Luv all those songs. But i understand why u might find them weak. Musically their aren't much but they're fast and hooky, which is pretty much the whole of Dookie.
