FIRRRRRST POST DANI!

& chileans r gonna take the world, y'know? xD AND I also thought something like he was drunk or something so he didn't see what he was eating :/ LOL

Yayy! We will, Fran, We will!

Ahahah Well, I have no explanation to understand why Billie Joe is sick, when the motive is poisoning food. Or... He's so but soooo stupid to play with Mikey and Frankie "who dares to eat that disgusting or wierd thing...." and then Billie Joe awakes sick.

I'm hoping that this was actually a bad combo of alcohol and drugs but they have well disguised it as a case of food poisoning.

Well, whenever if i ever had to call in sick to work with a crippling hangover, I'd claim food poisoning... in fact they're very similar with the puking and all.

Except you actually feel better with food poisoning  , you don't get that 'Please kill me now' thing going on...

Seriously though, it's surprising more bands don't get food poisoning out on the road, eating at a different random place every night and probably dodgy catering at the venues. The whole of Muse and MCR and their crews got it a couple of years ago in the US and had to cancel some shows. I believe the caterers got death threats :o

Aw, poor Billie (and poor people who would've been going today/last night)

I hope he gets well soon, food poisoning isn't nice.

I've read about that.

Apparently everyone on tour got sick except Muse. :ninja:

I don't get why people say they lose weight when they turn vegetarian.

Billie obviously wasn't eating right.

I don't understand this too cause I'm a vegetarian too.

Its clearly his cancer acting up again.

Yikes if it truly is food poisoning. Depending on how bad it is, that can keep you down and out for a couple of days.

Two concerts were cancelled in August 2005 for the AI Tour, Dayton and Nashville. Someone put the link to the tour dates on a post earlier in the thread, I think. It was rumored that Billie Joe was ill for those shows, but I don't think anyone came out and said that officially. The band came back around to both venues in October as their last two US shows. I can tell you that the Dayton show, as the last one, was epic! I was bummed when the show was cancelled last minute, but when they came back around, it was amazing and well worth the wait.

I guess they can't exactly do a quick hop back over to Australia to pick up the cancelled show later! So, hopefully, Billie Joe will be feeling better and able to perform. Pretty rough for those fans who drove a ways for the show that got postponed. Hopefully, those waiting in line can reclaim their spots and those staying over could find a place to stay.

I did have one good meat pie at a old old old pub in Manchester.

Yeah I was hoping I would like it too. But it just never happened, in fact it just got worse. I actually had to leave the sheffield show after the sixth song...I was on the barrier and had to push my way out of the crowd and run to the restroom where i spent the next hour. Then me and a friend who wasnt feeling well and followed me out when I was leaving the pit, actually left early and went back to the hotel and went to sleep. I missed the guy getting his hair cut during longview. :(

I think I was lucky to have that one really good meat pie and then McDonald's pretty much the rest of the time while I was there!

I also read a few years back about a cancelled gig in Paris during the AI tour. The announcement stated the gig couldn't be re-scheduled and people were to get their money back (it was months later), does this ring a bell with anyone? I think I read it on GDA, but I never found out the reason for the cancellation.

It was November 8th 2005 = and it was cancelled several weeks earlier due to problems at the venue. Instead, the band did a mini gig at BBC television centre (I was there!) and the MTV awards in Portugal. We got full refunds.

I always worry about the way they work themselves so hard - this has been a pretty intensive tour, and I marvel at how good Billie's voice is after so long on the road - I wouldn't have been surprised if that had been the reason for the postponement.

Hope he gets better quickly, and doesn't go back to work too soon.

Aw.. I hope he gets well soon. :(

Being ill sucks. I was ill for almost two months just a while ago. I had some kind of a virus and it just wouldn't go away. I seriously thought that I was going to die. :ermm:

It's not fun to come on here and see this on the GDA main page. :( I'm a worrier when it comes to this boy.

Well, get well soon, sweetheart. Get lots of rest and do NOT perform until you're 100%.

Naww poor little Billie  It's not often when they have cancel a show.

Hope he gets better soon. At least he didn't go on ill, they'd probably have to stop half way through the show otherwise...
