I was a little worried when I tried to log into IC yesterday, and I got a message saying that my membership was expired even though I had registered in March. But, really, unless you want to get pre-sale tickets for shows, it's really not worth it. This forum is WAY better than that one anyway.

Seriously, that's the only reason why I joined.

It's like GDA, but with a 20 doller fee.

It's only worth it for the presales.

as for the idiot club having anything new... not apart from the t-shirt. and members are only being asked to pay shipping fee, not for the actual t-shirt.

Thanks for the help btw! But about the t-shirts, I still don't agree with it. They should make it optional-if you want the t-shirt pay the extra, if you don't want the t-shirt you should just pay the regular amount!

^I think there going to send out special idiot club t-shirts when you do have to renew, but you'll have to pay extra for the shipping. It's showing up as $5 for like people in America and $10 extra for those outside America. It's not much but it's all extra on top. :/

I agree with that so basically your gonna end up paying 25-30 for the year depending on where you live. The only reason I joined like most others I'm sure was the advance sale on tickets.

this isnt just happening that have a renewed membership its also happening to people that use to be apart of it like me i joined last year about febuary it ended and i didnt renew but i got an email yesterday saying mine had expired to

Yea I agree with everyone's post on here. I'm really not happy and I love how they did not even warn us or let us know this was going on, but thank you Netty for all your help and information. Does anyone know if anyone has gotten onto the site?

I was able to log on to IC as well. I think I joined in September or October.. I never go there, I joined because of the presales (=just in case). I do want a t-shirt if there's going to be one...

BTW, has anyone tried to renew their membership after it expired too early? Does it work? I'd hate to miss a presale if mine suddenly "expires", because I'm seriously considering travelling somewhere to see them next year...

people who renew are able to get access to the site and forums. like I`ve said before though, I wouldnt recommend renewing though as I dont believe this should be happening. t-shirts should be sent out to people as and when their renewal date comes around. if they arent due to renew then they should not be getting these emails or be denied access to the site and forums.

as for pre-sales, I dont think we will be having any more for a while.

and yes, some members still have access to the site without having to renew. I`m one of those.

anybody who is having issues, please email the admin and let them know that you have been affected. you probably wont hear anything back for a few days with the number of people that look to have been affected.

unless you are actually due to renew at the moment...I really would suggest NOT renewing yet! hopefully we will get some kind of news on monday and things will start to be sorted out. in the mean time I can only suggest that people email the membership addy and let them know that you are affected.

I was really getting pissed off when I got the email saying I had to renew, luckily it isn't just me so I'm pissed off but not that bad! I've only been on there for about 3 months and asking to renew. I emailed on Saturday so hopefully we will hear back soon, as soon as anyone hears something do let us know. I THINK WE SHOULD ALL GET FREE SHIRTS FOR THIS INCONVENIANCE . I do suggest that everyone who has been told to renew but haven't even had a years subscription yet to email them so they are aware that this problem is happening to many people. Thanks for all the info Netty and I suppose we are just going to have to sit tight.

I noticed on the Terms and Usage page this:

"We reserve the right to change membership fees and other charges by notifying you sixty (60) days in advance of the effective date of the change."

Anybody get a notice about this 60 days ago? LOL. I just have to laugh...

I got a email yesterday to renew my membership, I think it was about a year since the last time I renewed. But I wasn't happy about the fact that I had to pay an extra $10 for the shipping of the t-shirt on top of the $20 that I was already paying. It surely can't cost that much just to ship something?

EDIT: Okay I just checked my email and the last time I renewed was in October 2008, and I had an email yesterday to renew, that means that it was 2 months late...

yeah i got mine in July D:

but i payed again just today b/c i got the email and thought they do this everytime in december. :/ i would like to know if i didnt need to pay again just today since my other paying membership didnt go for a year. more like half one. and i would like my money back from today.
