Don't know about the addition of the New Year. They don't really do anything for it, it's mostly Ramadan that they do stuff and the holidays that end Ramadan, I think.Just leave it off, don't worry about it. I tried using ~festive colors, but it obviously didn't work too well. I would have started over completely, but I haven't really had the time to. :\
