Song of the Week Desensitized

My favourite Shenanigans song . I love the guitar part pounding over and over, dadada da da dada! And I love Billie's gritty singing on it, my favourite part of the song would have to be when he growls "give it to me NOW!". That driving force of the music pushing forward that pessimistic view of the modern computer age, it paints a bleak picture. They've written about the subject many times since then of course, but it's interesting to see they were already questioning the "modern world" so long ago when it wasn't such a popular topic. It's a bit of a strange song for the time I think.

I don't think I've ever spent so much time trying to work out what on earth Billie's singing as I have with the first line and the chorus of this song - used to drive me mad

The first time I heard this song I had downloaded it from some sketchy mp3 site and when it came on I thought I had accidently downloaded a recording of somebody's murder hahahha

it was a bit frightening

great song though once you get past the scary beating and screaming part at the beginning lol I love the lyrics

I'm a bit late with this but today I've come to the conclusion that this song is awesome but that I strongly dislike the intro. It's cool, but not as an intro of a song. Or well... I dunno. I wouldn't know how the song would start then, but it's kinda annoying.. I guess.

I love the intro incredibly. There is no better Green Day intro to play loud! I mean really loud. If I'm home alone I always crank up the speakers for this and Panic Song. 2 fantastic intros!

Mike smashing things to bits and shouting, then the guitar and drums come in hard. Its just fucking amazing!

And of course, lyrically it is genius!
