Mar Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Yeah, I'll second the frustration over the shunning in Album/Record/Song of the Year, but those three nominations are wonderful! I hate everyone they're up against except Bruce, though, so they better win!

They don't deserve AOTY at all. I'm so happy however that they are nominated and could go 2/2 in the Best Rock Album category! They truly deserve it! Keep in mind also that they have momentum going into the show. They're releasing a new version of 21 Guns, they're performing on NBC's New Year's show, and they could win a People's Choice Award. Clearly, the Grammy people care about public opinion. They're moving away from controversy, "Gasp, a socially-conscious rock opera? Oh no, mustn't nominate that for AOTY, let's pick DMB instead..." And Kanye needs to go live in a cave, he sucks.

After I heard Green Day being nominated for Best Rock Album, I couldn't take any more shitty performances or LL Cool J. So, glad to hear they got 2 more nominations after I changed the channel.
