what zines do u read? or what do u recommend? i never read zippo...

Zippo is only good for the hilarious "people reviews." He even wrote a review on Billie Joe in one issue. Other than that, I like Sniffin' Glue, Search and Destroy, Tales of Blarg!, Razorcake, Slant, PUNK.

and i really like new ones about living self-sufficiently, like growing your own food and shit. some of those are Ded Rabbit, Doris, Skinned Heart, Frog Man, The Urban Survivor, greenzine.. ok, i'll stop for now.

Ugh, my mom looked at Borders today and couldn't find it, and she talked to one of the workers and she had no clue what book my mom was talking about. I just saw it a month ago. Ugh. So we're going tomorrow to see if we can find it, but I kind of doubt it. Fingers crossed.

It just came in the mail! I'm so excited to read it!

I flipped to a random page, and there was a lot about Green Day. So I just read about 20 pages in the middle of the book about them, and it was so interesting. I love how detailed it is.

i have already finished the whole book it was really detailed but i like that it was about the scene and they gave credit to the other bands and treated green day like they were part of the scene not that the they where the scene

over all it was a great book if youre intrested in bay area punk from the mid 70's to up tp now

^Yeah. Just from the excerpts I've read on the website, and what I've read from the book so far, I think it's really detailed and great. I love how many people are in the book, and that they speak about all of these things, people that were actually there; it's not a boring at all.

hi zoey baby. yeah...think of how shitty that must of felt for him...being kicked out of what probably seemed to him the "cool kid" group. in hindsight the other dudes can say it was better off for him but when BILLIE was a teenager it must have felt like shit. i sent the author an email asking if they have any intention of releasing the hundreds of pages of material that didnt make it into the book. itd make a friggin awesome zine.
