gabbag Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 yeah I know but I also know it can be done. Just gotta get to the venue early enough. Yea I want to be like up front, if the tour is during the summer I should get there really early and then have like a line party! especially if Heather comes, then we can have our Network costume party there
CrimsonRegret Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Yeah for sure getting there super early helps. Also studying the venue maps and whatnot is a good idea. I do that when I plan on going to larger venues that I've never been to before.
Robin105 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Even if I had the chance to get on stage.. I don't think I would want to.. lol to much of a chicken. I'd much prefer just getting barrier or like within the first few rows - where I can at least see the guys without getting trampled [yes I am short]. From a recent experience at an AFI concert I recomend staying out of the pit if your really short or if you have glasses. I broke my glasses. I am 5 foot and I was pushed, shoved, and used as an arm rest. I had to be pulled out of the pit after about 5 songs because it got so intense. I am NEVER getting pit tickets again. I hope they come to NY again. I'm dying to see them again.
Seedless_Reject Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 HEY Give us people who never been on stage that want to get on stage a chance. this I haven't been on stage either maybe I'll save enough money to go to at least two shows Even if I had the chance to get on stage.. I don't think I would want to.. lol to much of a chicken. I'd much prefer just getting barrier or like within the first few rows - where I can at least see the guys without getting trampled [yes I am short]. Good point, but I's really love to get on stage. (I'm also short, but I'm the same height as Billie )
Sarahnade. And if I got on stage, I'd probably be freaking out too, but Billie helps you out with the lyrics, which is awesome. This girl at my show was singing the last chorus, which has those few different lines, but she sang it wrong and Billie sang it with her. So, I know he'd help me out. And at my show, I was at the venue about 7 or 8 hours before the doors opened. I was the first in line, my hand gripping the door handle so freaking hard.
Chelsea Hotel Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 NEW JERSEY THEY HAVE TO COME TO NEW JERSEY THEY LOVE SPRINGSTEEN SO MUCH THEY SHOULD COME TO NEW JERSEY BUT NOT CAMDEN THEY WOULD TOTALLY GET SHOT STAY UP NORTH, GUYS, IT'S NICE AND SAFE ...if they don't come to Jersey I will cry. And curse my fortune at having to live here and not a major city.

They have a lot of fans in New Jersey apparently therefore they shouldnt forget about us even though we do in fact suck.

I am pretty good when it comes to being in the pit area though, I did so back in 05 and survived . Main reason I wanna get as close as possible is because I am nearsighted [hence the need of glasses that I refuse to wear]. I think this time around will be more fun if I can afford to go because I have met some cool people from here. Shorties FTW!
Sarahnade. Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 ^^You went to the NYC show, Chelssica, they'll more than likely go there again! :/ And it would be awesome if you could make it to PA, ahaha. I'm sure I can convince my parents to drive me a few hours for GD. My mom wants to see them, so she'll be for it. And I don't ask my parents for much. And Green Day is the only band I would do this for. So, if they don't come to Pittsburgh for some reason, I know I'll be able to go to Ohio, somewhere else in PA, and maybe DC. Maybe NY, but I'm not sure. But I just hope they come to Pittsburgh. That would be so nice. And I really need to get a job so I can see them a bunch of times.
-Billiejoezee- Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 Sarah, next year if they come to L.A you better come. ALL OF YOU! I wanna meet you guys. I'll pay for you if i have too.
Salmonator. Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 For the last Green Day concert I went too, I was planning on sleeping outside the venue the day before, and then the day before I was about to leave, my mom fucking told me she wouldn't let me go until 30 minutes before doors opened. I still got to the front though. This time. I'm gonna get there early no matter what. I hope it's not on a school day
AndrewW91 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I really hope they come near me. I don't want to have to do another 5+ hour trip. Even though, every second was worth it.

Dude, do you know how much convincing it took just to get my mom to drive from my shitty small town in Jersey to New York? I really do not want to go through that again. And I doubt she'll be willing to drive to PA for Green Day. ajkadhakf My parents just don't understand! /teenangst If I get my license by the time they come around I might be able to go by myself. I don't mind going to New York, I just have to get past my parents. :/
Salmonator. Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I live in California. But I wanna go see them in New York, too cause some my freinds on GDC live there First, I gotta get like 2,000 dollers :/ It sucks when no one wants to hire a 14/15 year old.
American Basket Case Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I'd love to see them in concert at least once. I'm praying they'll have a concert in Kentucky. *tries not to get hopes up*
Isabel Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 And if I got on stage, I'd probably be freaking out too, but Billie helps you out with the lyrics, which is awesome. This girl at my show was singing the last chorus, which has those few different lines, but she sang it wrong and Billie sang it with her. So, I know he'd help me out. Trust me. You more than likely won't even realise you're up there. When I got pulled up, all I thought about was "Right, this is it. Now I'm going to do it for real." You're too caught up in the moment to even think about freaking out. Everything just flows. It was only when I got off the stage that I thought "Holy shit I just sang on stage with Green Day!!" The only time I stopped to think about anything when I was up there, was when I walked over to Billie Joe to sing with him and he pressed his face right up against mine. There was an instant spine tingling reaction and I thought "Oh fuck!" But it didn't throw me off As for forgetting the words, I doubt that'll happen if you really know the song well and you practice it all the time

CrimsonRegret Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I live in California. But I wanna go see them in New York First, I gotta get like 2,000 dollers :/ I second this because I would LOVE to catch the Broadway play at the same time.. but that is really pushing the luck [and money] that I do not have.
Salmonator. Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I second this because I would LOVE to catch the Broadway play at the same time.. but that is really pushing the luck [and money] that I do not have. Samee. I spent it all on Green Day merchandise I gotta get through my parents first....
American Basket Case Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 My BFF from Kentucky is gonna come next year for a GD concert. She's ashley.Oh yeah, I know who you're referring to. But you mean she has to go out to CA to see them, right? I'm just trying not to get too worked up about it so I won't be disappointed if there are no shows here. Hopefully, if the AI musical gets a national tour, at least I can see that. (But it's not the same, is it?)
Chelsea Hotel Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 What part of NJ do you live in? There are no major cities nearish by? I actually live fairly close to NYC, but with the traffic and the time, my mom doesn't like to drive in New York, and if you take the train in then we'd have to plan the whole thing around when the latest train leaves. It would just be easier if they came to Jersey. North Jersey, mind. No way am I going to Camden at night, I'd get shot!
