*Green_girl* Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 what the hell is all this none sense i like Blink, but they dont deserve this title. they didnt bring anything new to music, to me they were just a band amongs other bands. while green day is THE band amongs all the other of the decade
tapdancingowl Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Does anyone have a scan of this that I could use for GDA news? Thankye muchly!
Lauren Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 blink 182? wtf? are you serious? they were barely around in the 00's. not to mention that they're barely influential in the first place...
porksoda Posted December 2, 2009 Author Posted December 2, 2009 Ahem. 8 albums. Or am I missing something? I didn't count side projects or EPs or anything. Just the main albums. Actually, I'm wrong too because I forgot Bullet In A Bible. And tapdancingowl, here's a scan: http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/6449/scana.jpg
NowhereBound Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I hate Blink 182, they really don't deserve this. I think the only reason they won this is because they're getting back together.
Alan86 Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Seriously, Blink 182 band of the decade??? AP just lost a lot of credibilty here. Blink have done nothing worth while this decade, or any decade for that matter to be labeled with such a title.
Renjini Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 i love blink like everyone else, and i agree, they weren't even a band for half the decade. i find it funny that even though Green Day influenced blink, blink were the winners
frankiessister Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 Blink 182 being the band of the decade is just utterly ridiculous. AP did lose their credibility here, as this band is totally irrelevant and won't be remembered by anyone within a few years' time.
sharon mitchell Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 I was at Blink's last concert before their 'indefinite hiatus' and it was an embarrassment. Tom was totally off form, missing notes and ignoring his bandmates, and Mark came back on stage after the encore, shouting that he could also play guitar and drums. It was like a two-way popularity contest - no wonder they split. In comparison - the twelve times that I saw Green Day this year, (fuck, yeah!!) Mike (and sometimes Tre) sat on the stage whilst Billie did his beautiful acoustic encore. At the end of the set, they left the stage together, arm in arm. That's what makes GD so enduring. The hoodie in their tour merch this year has a name - Band of Brothers - and that shines through with every show. Blink never had that, and that is one of the reasons why they should never have topped this poll.
Guest Hayley Posted December 2, 2009 Posted December 2, 2009 That's good. At least we were runners up.

Heather! Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 "Who Was The Most Important Band of the Decade (2000-2010)?" Blink-182 won that? What the hell? I like them a lot, but Green Day's music was much, much more "important" in comparison to the records Blink released this decade.
