It'd be cool if people would create graphics for the top part and then we could create a chart that ties everything together and pick cool fonts. Part of me wants to volunteer to do the layout, but I have no idea if I'll find time anytime soon.I thought of another way to do a physical calendar. We could design it and then save it as a PDF and then upload it for everyone. Then everyone can download the PDF and print the physical calendar for themselves. The difference between this and just printing wallpapers is 1) wallpapers are made to fit computer monitors, not paper, 2) this would be designed to be a calendar, so something could be continuous to tie it all together as 1 whole visual thing. By the way, with the computer wallpapers, you need to think about resolutions. People have different size monitors. You should probably make them for bigger monitors. Bigger wallpapers can still be used in smaller screens, but smaller wallpapers look awful on bigger screens. You also need to consider widescreen and standard screen.

Logistically a physical calendar would be a hell of a lot of work (not to mention pricey). Once it's done, how many do you print? And how do you distribute them? Then there's postage costs and some poor sod will have to drag a load down to the Post Office for international postage. :/ Digital on the other hand, one zip file on mediafire or wherever, and you're done.

I origanally also wanted to make something, but now as I saw how great all the wallpapers are that you guys posted here, I think I'm not good enough at photoshop for this.

I mean, I drew them with paint... Anyway, I think we don't have enough time for a physical calendar anymore and should save this idea up for next time and just concentrate on wallpapers. Oh and I guess we should make one for wide screen and one for standart screen, we don't need to change the whole content, just the size.

Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted November 30, 2009 Posted November 30, 2009 Really late, but I like the idea of making something you can print out yourself, because not everyone likes the same style of wallpaper and all, and that's less of a problem with a 'classical' calender as it won't have a very particular style, probably... just my two cents, haha
