PunkRocks and Coke Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Shit, the poll didn't work! The shows i listed were: Milton Keynes - 2005 The Warfield - 2005 In The Alley (San Fran i think) - 1997 Live in Chicago (MTV) - 1994 The Den, Wigan - 1991 Gilman Street - 1989ish i was gonna say wood stock 94' but if i had to choose from the list id pick Gilman
kerry Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 It's hard to chose but it would have to be Sydney 12th December because of all the attention I got from Tre, and to relive the moment when he came down to the fron of the stage and blew me a kiss. and I would really love to go back and see the FBHT at the Relentless Garage again - but this time see it straight so more of it stays in my memory.
DecanoLP Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 MSG, Night 2 last year. What a set <3 And Phoenix 93 is just amazing
Hanna__ Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I would have liked to be in so many of them : Early Gilman shows Woodstock -94 Goat Island -00 Bizarre -01 Milton Keynes -05 And also in their first Helsinki concert in -95!
green-day1972 Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 Woodstock 94 Milton Keynes 05 ( the second day of course ) Sacramento 09
BigYellowTaxi Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 I would <3 to be @ the Milton Kenyes 05 ! Bowl!
Johannamunter Posted April 3, 2010 Posted April 3, 2010 This is really hard but, an early Gilman show, Madison Square Garden '94, Woodstock '94 or Milton Keynes
Hermione Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I'd rather go back to that Foxboro show at the Garage again than any other Green Day show. Since that night I'm just totally satisfied forever Other than that going back and seeing them in a tiny little venue in the early days or at one of the Nimrod shows would be top of my list. Or the Foxboro show where the Rev made his entrance by crowdsurfing to the stage on a surfboard.
OMNatalie Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Its crazy how many people say Milton Keynes, like its just down the road from me and I go past the National Bowl like every other weekend, its crazy to think how this place I pass has such a definitive place in Green Day's history. I would love for them to go back there, I think instead Wembley in June they should be playing Milton Keynes - after all it's 5 years exactly since they played there.
GreenDay-Idiot Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I can't choose one I've never gone to a concert before but from what I've seen in video, and there are many, I would say Milton Keynes 05, Chicago 94 and the end of the tour in Australia 2005.
AleKerplunk Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 I've never been to a Green Day concert, but if i can... Bullet in a Bible concert, of course, day 2 on Milton Keynes
Steven Samuels Posted April 4, 2010 Posted April 4, 2010 Milton Keynes. Front Row. Wheelchair crowd surfing FTW
Hermione Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Milton Keynes would be way low down on my list. The smaller the venue the better, for me.
DeJennsitized Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 Milton Keynes would be way low down on my list. The smaller the venue the better, for me. I would love to be at a small club show. You're so lucky to have seen them in that environment, even as the FHTs. Although on the other hand, I've never been to a stadium show before, and I can just imagine the exhilaration of being near the front of the stage, with 89,999 people standing/sitting behind you. Just the feeling of being with so many other GD fans excites the hell out of me for June. The Odyssey Arena seemed huge to me, and that was only 14,000.
Shadowiegirl Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I know I am echoing other people, but sometimes certain concerts just stand out and demand recognition, and you totally wished you were there, so Woodstock and MSG 1994, and Warfield 2005 for the most awesome set list.
Hermione Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 This morning I was listening to the audio of Jason White singing Rock The Casbah at the Warfield show and it made me think, yes I would definitely have loved to have been at that show. Oh yes I know. I really want them to play more FHT shows so more people can get to see them because they are quite good Haha I saw them at the O2 which is like 12,000 or something, and when I first walked in it looked huge, but once the show started it just didn't seem big to me at all . There could've been 500 people behind me or 50,000 for all I noticed, I was really surpised how not-big it seemed. I'm very exicted to be with a load of Green Day fans in June but the fact it's a super huge amount of people isn't really making me more excited. Although it probably wouldn't be possible for me to be more excited anyway.
AliceArmatage Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 It'd be 28.1O.2OO9. Only show i've been so.. so far. I'd get tickets a lot earlier. (: I was lucky though. I'd get a new phone, so it's not shit at photo's and make it look like i was miles away. I'd get a friend to come instead of my Dad and Brother. And, i'd deffinitly sneak into the standing area with my sister.

The thing that keeps playing in my mind is the helicopter footage of the Milton Keynes bowl from BIAB, showing the entire venue. It's just such an awe-inspiring sight to see the sheer size of the venue. And you're right, there's nothing much that can excite me more than simply seeing Green Day at a show. Unless they have an amazing support act to top it off
