Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 ^ That thread is talking about a different date. But the rest of it seems quite similar to the stuff from this...
Martyn Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 ^ That thread is talking about a different date. But the rest of it seems quite similar to the stuff from this...I think that thread is the newer/revised schedule for that program...they're both "Friday Night Alright" on VH1
dirnt286 Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 They'll be in the Far East in January (maybe already home by the air date.) I'm really hoping they air a concert filmed from there. It'd make sense.
Perenpoep Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 Does anyone knows how late it will be on tv in holland? I have Vh1 and I want to record it
tvrman Posted January 3, 2010 Posted January 3, 2010 My observation from the UK:VH-1 NEVER show anything original (ie first screening), and all the live performances are re-hashes from MTV or very old. That is why I am not holding my breath for something new. From a marketing brand point, it also makes sense for MTV not to 'premiere' new concert material on VH-1 (they have MTVN HD and MTV for that) . The best VH-1 gets is simulcast new videos with MTV.Having said all that, how is VH-1 branded in the US and do my comments stack up stateside ?tvrman

I'm still excited to see it on TV though! MODS: Could someone change the topic sub-title to reflect the updated date, January 22nd? My source originally said it was 2/19 and the schedule has since been changed to the one in the other "Friday Night Alright" thread posted a couple days ago. Thanks!
Ila Reto Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 so this will be on 1/22/10? do we have a time?
Mar Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 so this will be on 1/22/10? do we have a time?11 PM

tvrman Posted January 5, 2010 Posted January 5, 2010 Yeah, this is a US-premiere broadcast of the World Stage concert that, if I'm not mistaken, already aired on MTV Germany. And MTV throughout Europe. Savely stored in my planner in HD and DS !!I have said it many times before.... WATCH THIS IN HD !!!!!!.You see it in SD and think WOW, you watch and listen in HD and DS and it blows you off the planet - such is the difference with this gig.tvrman
Mar Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 Man, I thought Friday Night Alright was an hour! They only show it for a half hour! I watched the Muse concert tonight and they only showed like, 4 or 5 songs!
The Daughter of Rage and Love Posted January 9, 2010 Posted January 9, 2010 ^ That's lame! Oh well, it gives me something to watch.
Mar Posted January 9, 2010 Author Posted January 9, 2010 ^ That's lame! Oh well, it gives me something to watch.Right? And yeah, I'll probably be going out on midnight that night, so I won't miss anything if I leave at 11:30...I guess that's the only upside?! :/Leave it to VH1 to air as little music-related programming as possible.
Sarahnade. Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 Bump because this is tonight.I'm going to be watching it, even though it's just the World Stage thing. I had to set an alarm on my phone so I wouldn't forget, haha. Sucks it's only half an hour though. That's really stupid.

I mean, it's very nice of you that you keep saying and recommending people to watch it in HD, really, but it's sort of, well yeah.

Sarahnade. Posted January 22, 2010 Posted January 22, 2010 ^Idk. But wtf are they going to show in half an hour? With commercials and everything, it's going to be like 20 minutes. Probably KYE, 21 Guns, and some other stuff. Not too exciting. Awesome, but meh. It should be an hour long.
