I saw a random sign on the side of the road that said 409.

Someone on TV said "shenanigans."

My dad was watching TV and he checked Teletext. (Dunno if it's the right English world, but whatever.)

One of the headlines was: "Armstrong tweets: My last Tour"

And I was like: WTF.

But of course. It was Lance Armstrong. :')

I was watching Action League Now! and Meltman was talking to Thundergirl and he said, "Come on, Thundergirl...I got Green Day tickets...front row!"

and she was like, "Um...I gotta...freeze icecubes that night. Can't make it."

I was like, "You dumb bitch, turning down Green Day. What the fuck is wrong with you, dumbass?!"

I can't believe I got mad over that.

HA. On Youtube. I was feeling really nostaglic and I wanted to watch old Nick shows.

Oh, I was looking at the Periodic Table and I saw Berkelium and Californium.

I gasped with excitement...

Don't worry, that kept me entertained through the whole term of chemistry

on House is this dude and he looks like one of the cast members from American Idiot and both the dude and the cast member (the latter more) resemble Tre.

Idk why, but I just remembered that when we were hanging out in Munich we saw a 1,039 sticker on a traffic lights

It's 1:39...that resembles 1039....

edit: hmm, I really hope that still appears as 1:39 on the forum. A second after I clicked Add Reply it switched to 1:40. /offtopic

At work today this one guy called his friend a scumbag.

EDIT: My brother is watching a TV show and I swear someone just shouted Tre.

There is a store called 'Horseshoes and Handgrenades' in our mall, and they also had a shirt that said 'Know Your Enemy' on it with a picture of some cops.

Everytime we pass the store I start humming the song. :)

And they just opened it too!

I was excited that we were the only city that had a store called that until I saw another one in another mall 2 hours away. :(

On one episode of 90210 Dixon and Silver are walking past a Johnny Ramone statue.

Dixon says, "Green Day covered 'Outsider'."

Silver replies, "I didn't know you liked punk!"

not exactly a 'reference' but it made me laugh

in gym class in the beginning of the year, everyone has to pick lockers (and you have to have the same the whole year). I said i wanted 86

my friend (who also loves Green Day) then said "you know, there's no return from 86"

Ha! We don't get to pick lockers at my school, but last year I was assigned 80. Nobody new why I was so excited.

And also in a book, which I can't remember the exact name of (it's a silly teenage girl book about a girl who becomes a 'popstar') and the main character's fella is into Green Day, so she sings Welcome to Paradise to a bunch of fan girls. Weird!

I remember that book! It's called "Pop Princess" by Rachel Cohn. That same author made a Green Day reference in her other book, "Gingerbread." The main character said she wanted to live with her boyfriend in a shed and only listen to "East Bay punk bands like Green Day."
