Green Day References

It's not really a reference, but today in chemistry I was so bored that I stared at the Periodic Table of Elements all the time. And I found some GD elements!

Like, element 64 is Gd for Green Day

no. 43 is Tc for Tre Cool

no. 101 is Md for Mike Dirnt and so on.

Gosh, I'm a nerd.

Hahaha, I remember the good old days of being bored in chem! THere are more, too...THere's the Berkley one, and...garrr, I can't remember the rest, I've removed the portion of my brain fried by chem. But power to da nerds!

FBHT reference on Lamebook

Pabst is a real beer actually, it's old, but now every time I see it I like to think it's a FBHT reference because that's just cooler!!!

A month ago at school I had to give a speech on censorship. I started my first point by just blatently saying, "Fuck...". THe teacher pulled me aside, and he didn't yell at me! You know what he said? "I have to take points off because this is a school setting but it reminded me of my days listening to Green Day, like that song Minority."

In my town, I keep seeing this car with the sticker "Fashion Victim" on the back

not exactly a 'reference' but it made me laugh

in gym class in the beginning of the year, everyone has to pick lockers (and you have to have the same the whole year). I said i wanted 86

my friend (who also loves Green Day) then said "you know, there's no return from 86"

I was just watching some tv, and there was a thriller movie on, and some guy was called Billy Blue

on White Collar they just said "scatter"......LAME reference..... oh and in Joystickeros (mexican tv show) they talked about a video game and a character was called Joe Cool

On the way to see Green Day in concert on Dublin I found out Dublin has an Armstrong Street. I had no idea!!

Seriously...so much Green Day references this weekend

My dad was messing with the radio in the car, and it was something with the treble, and the abbreviation was 'tre'

After that there was some truck and it said "Cool" on it, very big, but not in the way like it's 'cold'....idrk why it was even there.

On a licence plate it said "GDA"

While listening to 21stCB, the line "Raised by the bastards of 1969" was right at that moment, we passed a sign that said 69 on it.

There was some other sign which said "Knight Frank *something*". Knight is similar to Wright, Tre = Frank Wright III

We passed a guitar store and they had this guitar that wasn't exactly like Blue, but very similar to it and the exact same colour.

There were chips and they were called "Tubs chips"

Someone wore a shirt with Cast Away on it.

Someone wore a shirt that said "Who the fuck is Mick Jagger", reminded me of the Tre Cool version of that.

And there was a licence plate that said "DLS"

^ That's soooooo awesome!!! Green Day is everywhere! :woot:

Compared to your awesome hunk of a list, I've only got one sadly:

There were 2 cars parked next to each other and one had "GDY" on its license plate and the other had "BJA" :P

Last night I was watching Gang Wars: Oakland.

It reminded me of Green Day for obvious reasons.

I know someone who is visiting relatives and she said she was going "From Chicago to Toronto"

I couldn't stop smiling :)

Oh, and yesterday when we got back home from Paris it was exactly 10:39pm. Kind of like...coming back from a partial Green Day trip, and you get back home at a time that's Green Day related....kind of ironic, I think is the word? no it isn't.... well anyway.

And when I woke up this morning it was 10:39am.

Not sure if this counts as a reference but I was in HMV the other day wearing a GD tshirt and I was buying the remastered Exile on Main St and this dude was buying one aswell, then he looks at my shirt and asks me to pick him out a GD cd to buy, 'cause he figured I had a pretty good taste in music  I gave him Nimrod.

Oh and I heard these two guys talking today,' find out how much its worth and if its worth your while.'

When we were driving to Glasgow to see them last week, our estimated arrival time was 10.39am for AGES. I thought it was a sign

Yesterday driving around I saw these girls wearing 'team jersey' style t shirts. One of them was number 80, the other was number 86. Coincidence? I think NOT

^Hah, That one's good. xD

Reminds me of the holiday when I was getting up at 10:30am everyday and when I began using my computer the clock there said 10:39 every fucking time. xD

This was actually pretty cool, my mom told me that on the last day of the U.S. Open--golf, no thanks--one of the commentators was talking about a particularly rough fairway and said that if the ball went down a certain way, "No offence to Green Day but that will be a Boulevard of Broken Dreams."

Pretty awesome.

Haha. It was also the estimated arrival time for at least an hour or so. Then it slowly changed to 10:40 and 10:41, but the thing is stupid and always adds up a couple minutes so a minute before we arrived it went back to 10:39 and we arrived at that time too

I was just reading this poem by Rider Strong (he played Shawn in the TV show "Boy Meets World") and in one line he says,

Green Day's on the radio again,

but no one listens

in my town.

I was watching the news the other night and a man came on who's daughter was in a boat accident.

His last name was Pritchard.

When I saw it I nearly fell off my chair

I drove by an "East street" today and thought to myself, "Shit, I should really tape "12th" on the end of that". So I will. And I'll take pictures.

My mom told me she heard a Green Day song at Home Depot (2nd time too!)

Home Depot really knows how to take care of their plants!

EDIT:

My sister told me she heard 21 Guns at Yogurtland.

Hmm, eating fruity yogurt and "One, 21 guns, lay down your arms..."

Go figure. lol
