I was riding in the elevator in my hotel today and this guy comes in and sees my shirt. He asks me if I like Green Day since I'm wearing one of their shirts and of course I say yes, then he tells me of his nephew who got on stage to play guitar at Madison Square Garden and Billie let him keep the guitar.

I can't think of any unexpected places where I've seen something related to Green Day right now ...

the only thing that comes to my mind is the bathroom in our school. Somebody (basically me xD) wrote Saint Jimmy on the wall .. pretty huge ...

everytime I'm depressed in school I just need to go to the bathroom and <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> it helps ... really =)

There's a clothes store in Birmingham UK called BHS. I've been in there twice and both times they've been playing a really shitty cover version of "Good Riddance". The first time i heard it took me a while to realize it was a Green Day song because it was so shit. I was standing there thinking "where have I heard this song before?"

I was looking at pictures of rooms of the Student Housing building I'm going to be living in and in the kitchen area, there was a poster of Green Day on the wall. Can that be a standard in every suite?

Ahh I'm fairly sure I read that book too! I read it in Dutch though so idk if it's the same book. Must be though because the situation was exactly the same. (and lol, I also put it in this thread when I read it think there's another Green Day reference just a couple pages after that one, but I'm not sure)

edit: yeah, same book (no wonder I didn't recognize the title...the Dutch title is way different). Wikipedia ftw.
