Minority_GD Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 I wrote my final English exam yesterday. The first part of the exam was a listening comprehention and it was about a girl who called different attractions/sights in London. Then she called the O2 Arena and the woman who answered the phone said: "The o2 Arena is a great place for concerts. This year many famous acts, such as Brittney Spears, Pink and Green Day will perform there" I was so happy and smiled and was happy during the rest of the exam. It's wonderful how Green Day even helps me in difficult situations

Thececilie Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 a few days ago i had to find a short story about evil, and i somehow ended up looking at some work by Edgar allen poe.... also, today i had to read about 20 different short stories, to find something for my exam... i was starting to get a bit tired of it, and then someone in one of the stories was called walter caulfield after that i just got happy and started to read some more...
ChelseaWhatsername Posted May 21, 2010 Posted May 21, 2010 Oh man. I was looking up pictures of short spiked hair to print out to show my hair stylist tomorrow, and on one of the pages there was Adam Lambert, so I thought, "Hey, I could just print his picture out..." Then I looked at the bottom of the page, and there was Green Day!!
Elissa. Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 My choir teacher said "shadow of a doubt" the other day. And I heard Good Riddance on the radio, but the last line was cut off by some stupid politician guy.
champagne mami Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I'm listening to Time to Waste by Alkaline Trio and in the song he says ...'such a basket case'
germackpaccone Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 We were talking about light years in Science, and my teacher is like "So something could be 2000 light years away....blah...blah....blah...." And I'm like
Supermodel*Robot Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I watch Parenthood all the time & it's based in Berkeley. I always catch myself thinking about Green Day when they say "East Bay" or "San Francisco" etc etc.
ParadoxAndPlaid Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 I'm considering making a short film that makes lots of subtle (and not so subtle) references to songs and uses them as a soundtrack. But with how busy I've been; this wont happen for a while, if at all.
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 There's this dude (a philosopher, I suppose) in my Philosophy textbook who's name is Berkeley (we never talked about him in class, he's just in the book), so every time I see that name I'm like ""
Micky Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 ^ he's the guy who gave the name to the city. It's the only philosopher I ever liked in my philosophy class
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted May 22, 2010 Posted May 22, 2010 ^ he's the guy who gave the name to the city. It's the only philosopher I ever liked in my philosophy class Ah, I already suspected that. haha
Doctor Demon Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I saw a kid wearing a Green Day shirt today. [/lamereference]
Elissa. Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 In a Shane Dawson video he said "dookie" Technically it was Shananay who said it but whatever...
Marki. Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 Yesterday I was at a CD shop and saw this on the cover of some CD
Samma.Wamma Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 WARNING: lame references Every time I see a warning label, I think of Green Day and say to myself, "Fuck it.." Also, I saw this girl in my school who I barely talked to and everyone called her ugly, and noticed she wore a lot of Misfits and KISS shirts, so I always thought, "Mmmhmmm, we're gettin' somewhere.." and then a few days ago she wore a Green Day shirt, so I ran up to her and said, "I just have to say, I LOVE your shirt." PS!! Don't forget to vote at SPIN!! We're losing! http://www.spin.com/spin25/readers-poll-spin-25
Metanoia Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I saw a kid wearing a Green Day shirt today. [/lamereference] same here...my only reference today

ChelseaWhatsername Posted May 23, 2010 Posted May 23, 2010 I'm not sure if this counts... But in the booklet in Dookie, with all the lyrics, there's graffiti on the wall, and it says Viva La Junkpile.
