Elena Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 first i wondered "what the hell has that to do with green day???" until i understood that joke same here, i first was like " ...it seems like parts of band names" and then i just thought "Oh there's a 'DAY'" ...and about a second later "wait a minute...it's on a green backround, so it's Green Day reference" and just after that i understood the joke ...that took some doing
Cori Posted June 2, 2012 Posted June 2, 2012 I was at a garage sale today and I saw some random picture, I can't even remember what it was of now, but underneath the picture it said "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." I thought it was pretty funny that it said that.
AmericanIdiot27 Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 In the novel "Slam" By Nick Hornby there are two Green Day references, one in the beginning when the main character says Green Day are cool, and at the end-ish when on a CD the main character has the first song is American Idiot.
YvonneB Posted June 3, 2012 Posted June 3, 2012 My dad has this t-shirt and on the back it says: Armstrong & sons ^^ And the other day I was driving in the car with this classmate who said he never heard a Green Day song and 2 minutes after he said that the radio station played Holliday,

Lena549 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Billy Bragg mentions Green Day in one of his songs. It's called 'Old Clash Fan Fight Song': " He started his own new radio station Now he's on the air each day Telling folks about a different way Plays Billy Bragg and a bit of Green Day And 'I'm So Bored With The U.S.A.! " http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7lwJAgymQoo
Cori Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 In the play we're doing in my summer theater program at school, there's a scene where we do a parody of Monty Python's "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life." It makes me think of Green Day's cover of the song on Bullet in a Bible.
Mar Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 In the liner notes of the new Garbage album, Butch Vig thanks "Green Day (Tre for the Dunnet!)," but someone should have spell-checked that since it's spelled Dunnett
momoluvGD Posted June 6, 2012 Posted June 6, 2012 My cousin has a best friend named Tre.There is a pre-made neighborhood on Sims 3 named Longview. There is a restaurant (I think it is a restaurant) named Green Day cafe. There are quite a few of them here actually...
