alaniluau Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 This sign is directly opposite my bedroom window. My mirror is on the window sill, so I see it every day while I'm getting ready Then I leave my house and walk a bit further down my road and pass this sign And then I get to my sister's road and see the name of it Green Day every day How nice it is to get constant reminders of the lads throughout the day! I love the random "Hot Tubs" sign. Reverend Strychnine Twitch <---- that way.
Lena549 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 Pretty sure everyone knows Mark Zuckerberg is a fan, and apparently all his friends are too: http://news.cnet.com...some-customers/ (2nd Picture) I didn't know! Aww that made me smile
Undómiel Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 In a book I saw today "THE ULTIMATE LOO BOOK" which is basically full of all sorts of quirky facts and what not, there's a section about how some bands got their names and Green Day is there with their weed.
Lena549 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 I'm watching playitagain on gotv, and the video of When I Come Around came up That made my evening
Burnout98 Posted September 25, 2011 Posted September 25, 2011 If you watch Ray William Johnson on Youtube, he reviewed a video that was about this old guy singing weird songs, and in the background he had a shirt with Green Day on it in the background.
Laura! Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 On my way to a Cleveland Indians game today we passed a gas station called BJ's Gas.
BJA TC MD Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 In a question of my Pythagoras assignment. One side was 39. The missing side was 80.
BJA TC MD Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Just realized I have 16 rep points Sorry for double post
Daughter.of.Rage.and.Love Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 May have been posted already a loooong time ago, but I came across it and this is the type of Green Day reference I like. Unintended, not the subject of the picture, but not far-fetched. http://wins.failblog.org/2011/08/17/epic-win-photos-day-and-night-win/
Lena549 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 Saw a guy in an AI shirt today - Yeah I know, boring reference - hit me for this one
gloria123 Posted September 26, 2011 Posted September 26, 2011 i was in Gamara (jewish law class) today and i pulled out my notebook that has a quote from WMUWSE on it. so my teacher says "i didn't think people still listen to green day" then me and my 2 friends perk up and at the same time said "i do!!!" then he told us that when he was in junior high his whole class when to a green day show (but him) and they all came in the next day wearing shirts from the show!
Maria-ISH Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I was in a gas station bathroom somewhere in Indiana and someone had written "Saint Jimmy" and drawn a hand in one of the stalls.
ScatteredPictures Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 This was on The Mentalist I know it's not exactly like in Church On Sunday but it reminded me of the song
Hermione Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Best jumper ever in H&M (took the photo in a mirror so I rotated it)
Ashley! Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 I was watching the top 100 number ones of the 2000's (or something like that) and BOBD came in at number 47, that was pretty cool
cj_unoxx Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Today is twin day for juniors at my high school so I made my best friend wear an extra Green Day shirt I have and now we are called "the Green Day Twins" not really a reference but it's still cool:)
Poprocks_and_Coke Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Yesterday I was watching a german show called "Zuhause im Glück" and there was suddenly Mother Mary playing in the background. I started singing along and my mum stared at me like this:
raven052 Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Two references at work today! Both in our discussion boards we have (for work related stuff. No where near as exciting as it sounds...) One person had as their subtitle: nice guys finish last? And there was a thread asking for books that had inspired songs. Naturally I went in there and mentioned 'Who Wrote Holdern Caulfield?'
farley drexel hatcher Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 There's this show on 4music right now, some kind of music show case where bands chat and play music and stuff. It's this dance band, Example, so I wasn't paying any attention at all until they started playing BOBD. And then they said that some of their biggest influenes are guitar bands like Green Day. That was pretty cool.
BJA TC MD Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 My mum called me a walking contradiction. I started jumping and she didn't understand. I told her she made a reference and she said oh. My technology teacher was marking someones work and commented saying their points were a "contadiction". He had to correct him. This reference came on after I kept on mentioning contradictions.
