I think they showed a clip from the 21 Guns video? I don't really remember. I was just like, oh, hey, Billie.

I was watching the movie Closer today, and there's a part where Clive Owen tells Julia Roberts to fuck off and die.

Not exactly about green day haha but reminded me of them :)

In the book 'Nineteen Minutes' by Jodi Picoult, there's a guy at a party in a Green Day shirt.

I have a few from when i was watching TV:

- QI Stephen Fry saying vive la révolution like billie says on AAF during holiday (i think)

- Dr Who there was a little girl (like song) and Neil Armstrong (no explanation needed)

and today i was in the car of one of my sister's friend's mum's car... and one the radio there was 21 guns and she said "oh Green Day i like them do you?" and i was like fuck yeah... then we talked about AAF vs. BIAB

Austin Powers is on and as I'm watching it I'm amused by the fact I've heard the members of Green Day (mostly Billie Joe) quote nearly every line of the film at one time or another.

And it reminds me that Billie actually named his child after Austin Powers

I was watching Parking Wars, and a girl who had tickets was wearing a Green Day hoodie. To which my mom (likely correctly) said that GD fans would be the ones not to pay their tickets.

There was this totally lame party downtown yesterday, everybody hates it but everybody's still there and the music was just horrible. Then they played YMCA and Shout and since I was a little drunk I got totally excited. xD

I was watching Food Paradise (the one about bacon) today. They were talking about a restaurant called Hash House A Go Go and mentioned that Green Day has eaten there before.

So I've been watching Scrubs for the past two days and they've been saying a lot of song titles / albums: Jaded, Redundant, Scattered, Dookie and many other ones that are escaping my mind. :P

Today my brother, mom, dad and I were all joking around and my brother goes "I want to be renamed Billie Joe Birdfeed"

Don't ask...

Today some girl in my class asked me how my favourite song is called again. I was like: :sherlock: "Minority. Why do you wanna know?" And then she said that her cousin's a big Green Day fan. I told her to ask him about his favourite album :D

The radio station I listen to wished Mike a happy birthday and played some Green Day songs. I thought 'um, guys? Day early?'

I was looking through my Humanities book at school earlier today and the title of the page was:

1.6 What's In A Name

A small reference, but it made the lesson so much better. :)

Posted

Not much of a reference, but it's good enough. My older brother just randomly starts singing East Jesus Nowhere or other Green Day songs that he hears around the house. Even if he doesn't know the lyrics.

i'm watching a movie in english (remember the titans) and i saw 2 things that can be related to green day, but the movie is before the albums came out.

first there is a fooball that said "state champion, 1969" and i thought of the 21CB lyric "raised by the bastards of 1969", and i shouted it out in class

secondly coach boone said something like ".....like novacaine it all goes in the end" or something along those lines

it was a green day filled english lesson

I saw it on my kajal pen!! it´s a light green one and under the barcode it sais "06 green day" I´ll post a photo soon, haven´t upload it already

and in a monthly mailing from EF about the music in the USA, a paragraph is about alternative music:

"From the heavy metal tunes of 1980s, to the “grunge” of the ’90s,

rock music continues to draw large audiences. Younger audiences

also enjoy the alternative rock of Green Day, the Killers, the White

Stripes, and the Shins."

I was so happy when I read it

A car was playing F.O.D. as it came to an intersection, then rear ended the car to the left of me. I guess he really wanted him to f**k off and die! The damage wasn't too bad, but it's still funny.
